Vasiliki or Vassiliki<\/em> is a lovely little coastal town on the Ionian Sea in Lefkada<\/a>, Greece.<\/p>\n

Initially, my friend and I only wanted to take a one day stop in Vasiliki since it was our port of exit to go to Kefalonia (Fiskardo). However, just a few minutes into the town, we knew we would be extending our stay.<\/p>\n

2 Day Vasiliki Itinerary \u2013 How to Spend 48 Hours in Vasiliki?<\/h2>\n

This was our laid back Vasiliki itinerary, which you can also follow if you are like us and just spending a couple of days relaxing in this quaint little town.<\/p>\n

Day 1 in Vasiliki<\/h3>\n

As soon as we got off our bus from Lefkada town into Vasiliki<\/strong><\/em> and dragged our suitcases on the short coastal walk to our hotel, we knew we would love this place.<\/p>\n

The waters looked so blue, and we could see kitesurfers & taverns dotting the beach. Vasiliki has such a cool small town vibe; we never even expected it.<\/p>\n

We were so excited to explore that we quickly dumped our bags at our lovely Orfeas room hotel and got beach ready in our bikinis.<\/p>\n

We went to the nearest beach \u2013 Vasiliki beach<\/strong><\/em> \u2013 which was a short 10 mins walk from us. The beach was flocked with kitesurfers and lovely restaurants and beach bars.<\/p>\n

\"Club<\/p>\n

After a quick yoga session the beach, we went in search of traditional Greek food. I found a place called To Kyma<\/strong><\/em> mentioned on another travel blog so we went for this personal recommendation.<\/p>\n

At To Kyma, we had a delicious fish, soup and sides \u2013 this was heavenly and indeed so authentic.<\/p>\n

Afterwards, we stopped at Club Vass<\/strong><\/em> for a beer. We found out that this place was hosting a Harry Potter-themed DJ + BBQ night. This meant one thing \u2013 Parttttty!!!<\/p>\n

Quickly, we went back for a shower and to get dressed up.<\/p>\n

Club Vass was a great place and we had a lovely time chatting with expats and learning about the increasing popularity of Vasiliki.<\/p>\n

A walk around town gave us some more options of bars like Tunnel Rock<\/strong><\/em> and Zeus,<\/strong><\/em> though Club Vass was surely our favorite.<\/p>\n

Day 2 in Vasiliki<\/h3>\n

The next day, we had a hearty breakfast at the Old Fisherman\u2019s tavern<\/strong><\/em> along with some red wine. It was the perfect setting by the sea.<\/p>\n

After fueling up, we set off for an hour-long winding uphill walk to Agiofili beach<\/em><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

It was totally worth it and this turned out to be one of the top 2 beaches in Greece for me \u2013 that\u2019s a big honor considering I am a big time beach bum<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After spending all day at Agiofili, my friend and I headed back to the main town. I hitched a ride since I was too tired from the walk up, and she walked back.<\/p>\n

The evening was quiet as we walked around to grab dinner and drinks around sunset. Lucky for us, we found the perfect spot \u2013 Serani restaurant<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s right on Vasiliki beach, and we enjoyed delicious traditional curries here whilst watching the sun set over the hilltop.<\/p>\n

That night we also tried the best burgers in Greece \u2013 yep in the entire country and perhaps the best I ever tried.<\/p>\n

This was at FatBoys Burger & Beer bar<\/strong><\/em> on the main strip. It is open till 1 am so a perfect midnight munchy option if you so feel it. \"fat<\/p>\n

Last day which was day 3 was spent packing and catching our ferry to Fiskardo (Kefalonia).<\/p>\n

We left Vasiliki feeling re-energised, well fed and well rested. Perfect little town for a quiet getaway.<\/p>\n
