Such a delicious contrast of flavour and hot\/cold!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While it is super easy to make (<strong>watch the step-by-step videos below<\/strong> to see how it\u2019s done), the beauty of this dessert is that we can dress it up to make it special, while still keeping it simple.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is down to how we present it, and most importantly the <strong>quality of the ingredients<\/strong> we use, especially as there\u2019s only 2 \u2013 we should make them count. (Similar idea to my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tamingtwins.com\/lemon-posset\/\">Lemon Posset<\/a> recipe, which only has 3!)<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While you can always use regular vanilla ice cream for this recipe, we\u2019d highly recommend using a <strong>proper vanilla bean gelato<\/strong> (or ice cream) for the best flavour.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the UK, <strong>Jude\u2019s and Yeo Yalley<\/strong> make delicious options which are in most supermarkets now, or <strong>H\u00e4agen-Dazs<\/strong> is a good option too. Better yet, if you have a <strong>local gelato<\/strong> or ice cream shop, they will usually sell tubs for you to take home!<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When it comes to the coffee we use, a <strong>strong espresso is essential<\/strong>. (The gelato softens with the coffee\u2019s heat, in turn the coffee gets sweetened by the gelato.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Got a coffee machine?<\/strong> Simply use one shot of your favourite espresso.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you don\u2019t, you could use a <strong>moka pot<\/strong> (stovetop espresso maker) instead, which will get you that rich, intense flavour we\u2019re looking for (feel free to make it a little stronger than the instructions.
