Today, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia introduced MB.CHARGE Public.This is a first-of-its-kind in the premium segment where MB.CHARGE Public brings together Mercedes-Benz digital charging solutions, connecting the vehicle, charging infrastructure, and digital services to deliver a more effortless charging experience for electric and plug-in hybrid customers. The service groups together over 10,000 charging points from various charging providers in Malaysia and also Singapore for the app users to charge their cars as well as make payment\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

With the Mercedes-Benz App and MBUX, customers can locate charging points, navigate to their destination, start charging, and make payments through a single platform, with access to multiple charging operators without additional subscriptions. One application for the smartphone for many different operators making it easier for the customer instead of having to download many different apps from different providers<\/span>.<\/div>\n

The seven Charging Point Operator partners in Malaysia are, CarputZap, Charge+, ChargeSini, chargEV, DC Handal, Gentari, and JomCharge,\u00a0<\/p>\n

As stated, it is\u00a0 now only Malaysia, MB.CHARGE Public enables customers to access public charging<\/p>\n

networks across Malaysia and Singapore through a single charging service, supporting greater convenience for cross-border journeys.It makes things a whole lot easier for customers as stated above and tells us that the charging point operators are willing to work together, thereby improving the electric vehicle ecosystem.\u00a0<\/p>\n

With a clear goal of providing charging access wherever customers are, Mercedes-Benz is building a comprehensive charging ecosystem that supports every stage of the all-electric and plug-in hybrid ownership experience. In Malaysia, this is supported by Charge at Home with the Mercedes-Benz Wallbox, Charge at Retail in collaboration with its retail partners, and Charge at Public through partnerships with golf courses, hotels, and shopping malls, spanning 19 locations nationwide and comprising 44 chargers. With the introduction of MB.CHARGE Public, Mercedes- Benz is further enhancing this charging strategy by bringing public charging access, navigation, and payment together through a single digital service.<\/p>\n

Globally, MB.CHARGE Public is one of the largest public charging networks, with access to more than 3 million charging points worldwide, over 380,000 active users, and availability across 37 countries. Its<\/p>\n

By combining intelligent navigation with an integrated digital charging service, Mercedes-Benz<\/p>\n

Through MB.CHARGE Public, customers gain access to a suite of innovative features designed to simplify public charging:<\/p>\n

\uf0b7 The nation\u2019s most extensive charging network: With more than 3,000 charging points across<\/p>\n

over 1,000 locations from seven Charging Point Operators, customers have easy access to one of<\/p>\n

the largest charging networks in the country through MB.CHARGE Public.<\/p>\n

\uf0b7 Charging station display and intelligent route planning: MBUX navigation displays the location<\/p>\n

and real-time availability of charging points, whether in the vicinity or at the destination, while<\/p>\n

showing only those compatible with the specific vehicle. Customers can further refine results by<\/p>\n

charging speed with the filtering function. Navigation with Electric Intelligence *1 plans the fastest<\/p>\n

and most comfortable route including charging stops based on numerous factors.<\/p>\n

\uf0b7 Easy charging start: With a charging contract at MB.CHARGE Public, customers can charge<\/p>\n

conveniently regardless of the respective charging station operator. Authentication at the charging<\/p>\n

station is done via the MBUX multimedia system 2 or the Mercedes-Benz App, with charging status<\/p>\n

available for monitoring directly through the app.<\/p>\n

\uf0b7 Transparent costs: Before charging, the exact prices per kilowatt-hour or minute, as well as the<\/p>\n

estimated costs to reach the maximum charge level for fully electric vehicles, are displayed. This<\/p>\n

makes charging with MB.CHARGE Public even easier and more transparent.<\/p>\n

\uf0b7 Cashless billing: Charging sessions are automatically deducted and invoiced through MB.CHARGE Public, with all past transactions accessible via the Mercedes-Benz Customer Portal and Mercedes-Benz App. There will be no mark up on the service as customers will only be charged the prevailing rate of the given charging station.<\/p>\n
