Visiting hours of the fort is 9 am to 5 pm.<\/p>\n Umaid Bhawan is a Royal palace built between 1928 and 1943. Built-in Indo Saracenic architectural style, Umaid Bhawan is made of dune-coloured sandstone and golden yellow sandstones. <\/p>\n Spread in 26 acres, This Palace is surrounded by flower-loaded gardens, fountains, flora, and fauna. This palace is among the biggest private residences to stay in the world. The Umaid Bhawan palace features a luxurious Royal Hotel, an automobile gallery, and a museum, whereas the Royal Family still occupies a significant part of the palace.<\/p>\n The hotel, managed by Taj Hotels, is a preferred destination for grand weddings oozing in grandeur, royalty, culture, and history. Surrounded by multi-tiered gardens and a small lake, Jaswant Thada is among the most beautiful buildings in Jodhpur. Maharaja Sardar Singh built this amazing cenotaph in the memory of his father, Maharaja Jaswant Singh, in the year 1899.<\/p>\n The design of the building is similar to a temple featuring an array of whimsical domes, carved scriptures, ancient paintings, portraits. The entry fee of this place is Rupees 15 for Indian and for foreigners it is Rupees 30; and visitors have to pay an extra fee for carrying cameras and camcorders in this place. It is located in Lawaran near Mehrangarh fort. <\/p>\n Kaylana Lake is a perfect picnic spot away from the city, and it is a picturesque artificial lake. Spread in an area of 0.84 square km, Pratap Singh built the lake in the 19th century. The average depth of the lake is nearly 35 ft to 40 ft, which varies depending on the water level. <\/p>\n Its surroundings of Babool trees, lush vegetation, and migratory birds attract lots of nature lovers and bird watchers. Kaylana Lake is quite famous for offering gorgeous visuals of stunning sunrise and sunset. You can also visit hills, temples, and trekking trails located amidst a wide range of flora and fauna near the lake. Please spend some time in its pleasant surroundings and go for a thrilling boat ride. It is located on the way to Jaisalmer at 8 km from Jodhpur city’s main bus stand.<\/p>\n The most offbeat thing to do in Jodhpur, the desert safari in the golden Dunes, is an exhilarating experience like nowhere else. The nearest desert from Jodhpur is the Osian desert at a distance of 70 Km from the city. <\/p>\n Jeep safari and traditional camel safari are the two best safaris to explore the dunes of the Osian desert.
