I haven\u2019t been able to smile in about 6 years. My face is disfigured essentially, even though just to look at it you might not know. But not being able to smile is a disfigurement. <\/p>\n

When you can\u2019t smile, there are oodles of things you cannot communicate. And people don\u2019t like you. That\u2019s the biggest thing I\u2019ve learned. People do not like you if you cannot smile. And they don\u2019t know why they just don\u2019t. <\/p>\n

I think it\u2019s that people cannot trust someone who does not smile. I\u2019m not used to this level of rejection. Even 6 years in it\u2019s painful. <\/p>\n

I smiled liberally easily and often before this disfigurement took over. Lyme disease and tardive dyskinesia are nasty.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s all I\u2019ve got today. Life is hard and I sometimes can only deeply acknowledge that reality with all of us who are coming back from pharmaceutical injuries. <\/p>\n
