Lincoln finds itself in an interesting position heading into 2027. Just as Ford has confirmed plans to phase out imports of China-built Lincoln vehicles beginning in 2030, one of the most important models caught in the middle of that transition is getting a fresh look. The 2027 Lincoln Nautilus arrives with updated styling, new interior themes, and the same technology-heavy approach that has helped make it one of the brand\u2019s strongest sellers. For now, though, the Nautilus Americans buy will continue coming from China.<\/p>\n

The current Nautilus has been built in Hangzhou, China, since the latest generation arrived for the 2024 model year, a major shift from the previous generation that was assembled in Canada. The move has worked from a product standpoint, as the latest Nautilus brought Lincoln a much more modern interior, an enormous panoramic display, and the kind of relaxed luxury experience the brand has increasingly made its calling card. The problem is that the political and regulatory environment surrounding Chinese-built vehicles has changed considerably, with tariffs and new connected-vehicle restrictions making long-term imports increasingly difficult.<\/p>\n

Ford now says it plans to move production of some Lincoln models from China to the United States beginning in 2030. That puts both the Nautilus and Corsair under the microscope. The Nautilus is already imported from China, while the Corsair is expected to follow for the 2027 model year after U.S. production ended as Ford prepares its Louisville Assembly Plant for a future electric truck. Lincoln has not yet explained exactly where those SUVs will be built once the China phase-out begins, or whether both current nameplates will survive in their present form.<\/p>\n

Before any of that happens, the Nautilus still has a few years of life in its current production arrangement, and Lincoln is making sure it stays fresh. The 2027 model receives a cleaner, more assertive front end highlighted by a wider grille with thin vertical elements and an illuminated Lincoln emblem. The lower bumper treatment changes depending on trim, while new geometric wheel designs give the side profile a slightly sharper appearance. Around back, Lincoln has simplified the look with a dark horizontal trim element and cleaner taillight detailing.<\/p>\n

Lincoln has also expanded the Nautilus color and interior choices. Nocturnal Blue joins the exterior palette, while Black Label models gain a distinctive Frosted Fig finish. Inside, Premiere and Reserve buyers can choose a new Afterglow theme, while Black Label adds the darker Eminent Hour treatment and the lighter Elysian Light design. Those updates fit nicely with Lincoln\u2019s current strategy of leaning into atmosphere, materials, color, and comfort rather than chasing German luxury brands down the performance rabbit hole.<\/p>\n

The dramatic 48-inch panoramic display remains one of the Nautilus\u2019 defining features, stretching nearly the full width of the dashboard and handling everything from vehicle information to navigation and entertainment. BlueCruise hands-free highway driving also remains part of the package, while Lincoln Rejuvenate continues to offer its unusual relaxation experience using seat adjustments, lighting, screen graphics, climate settings, and other cabin features. Reserve buyers can also add a new Renew package that pairs Rejuvenate with upgraded 24-way adjustable front seats.<\/p>\n

Pricing remains relatively approachable by modern luxury SUV standards, with the 2027 Nautilus starting around the mid-$50,000 range before climbing through Reserve and Black Label territory. Powertrain choices continue to include a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder along with a hybrid option, both paired with standard all-wheel drive. The Nautilus has never really tried to be the sportiest SUV in the segment, and that continues to work in its favor. Its appeal is rooted more in quiet cruising, technology, and a sense of comfort that feels distinctly Lincoln.<\/p>\n

The bigger story, however, is what happens after this refreshed Nautilus runs its course. Ford\u2019s decision to phase out Chinese-built Lincoln imports by 2030 signals that another production shift is coming, whether that means moving the Nautilus and Corsair to existing U.S. plants, replacing them with new models, or reshaping Lincoln\u2019s lineup altogether. For now, the 2027 Nautilus remains a China-built American luxury SUV with a fresh face and a few more upscale touches. A few years from now, its successor could be part of a very different Lincoln manufacturing story.<\/p>\n
