Superheroes come in all shapes, sizes, sexes, heights, and superpowers. And most of the time, people just can’t handle it with their preconceived notions of superheroism. Boy, don’t we know it here at the Boozedancing Entertainment Network. If we had a nickel for every time we were confused as “normies”, we’d be retired to chalets in Switzerland, infinity pools in the Seychelles, and super yachts anchored in Monaco. And that brings us to the main event for this episode of What We Watch When We Drink.

Wonder Man is a new MCU series on Disney+ starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Ben Kingsley, and (spoiler alert) it’s delightful. We binged it, loved it, and waxed poetically about it. And using our primary superpower of television watching, we also yapped about what else we’ve been super watching. And yes, as always, we were accompanied by The Brown Spirit aka whisky, the 4th member of our Just Us League.

Throw on your cape, blast that soul crushing leaf blower into bits, mind meld with that yippy Chiweenie next door to bring peace to the neighborhood, and punt that sketchy perpetually-parked-in-front-of-the-house Ford F-150 all the ways to Pacoima. Then download this episode to give those superpowers a break. You and they deserve it.
