Instead of focusing only on Delta-9 THC, the law adopts a much stricter \u201ctotal THC\u201d standard and significantly changes how many hemp-derived products are classified. (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.womblebonddickinson.com\/us\/insights\/blogs\/navigating-new-hemp-laws-major-shift-cannabis-industry?utm_source=chatgpt.com\">Womble Bond Dickinson<\/a>)<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"s1\"><b>Why is everyone talking about Delta-8 and Delta-9?<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p3\">When the 2018 Farm Bill legalized hemp, it unintentionally created a loophole that allowed many intoxicating hemp-derived products to enter the market.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Over the past several years, products containing Delta-8 THC, high-dose hemp-derived Delta-9 THC, THCA, and other intoxicating cannabinoids became widely available. Many of these products were sold right alongside traditional CBD products, creating confusion for consumers and regulators alike.
