Rather than making a notebook that sits on a shelf, this little handmade book has a real purpose. I designed it to be the perfect size for taking on day trips, holidays, museum visits and nature walks. It\u2019s somewhere to jot down ideas, sketch inspiration, collect craft ideas or simply record little memories while you\u2019re out and about.<\/p>\n

The binding uses a simple chain stitch, making it an ideal introduction to hand bookbinding while still producing a beautiful finished result that feels special enough to keep or gift. Don\u2019t worry if you\u2019ve never done chain stitch before. I\u2019ll go through step by step to show you have.<\/p>\n

Why I Love This Mini Project Book<\/h2>\n

One of my favourite things about this design is how practical it is and that the internal pouches don\u2019t require any glue!<\/p>\n

The finished book is small enough to slip into a handbag, backpack or travel bag, yet large enough to write comfortably. It\u2019s just over A6 in size but you can easily make the mini project book smaller or larger if you\u2019d prefer.<\/p>\n

I also designed the cover with handy front and back pockets. These are perfect for storing:<\/p>\n
