Arsenal Football Club have confirmed the signing of Brazil International Bruno Guimar\u00e3es from Newcastle United on a long-term deal ahead of the 2026\/27 season<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Premier League Champions <\/a>confirmed the signing of Guimar\u00e3es on their official website on Saturday, August 8, 2026, as they continue in their quest to defend their title.<\/p>\n

Guimar\u00e3es becomes a major addition to Mikel Arteta\u2019s midfield, joining a squad that already includes Declan Rice and Martin \u00d8degaard. His versatility, leadership and technical quality are expected to add further depth and competition to Arsenal\u2019s midfield.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old leaves Newcastle after making 195 appearances for the club and helping them win the Carabao Cup. He is also coming to the Emirates with a wealth of experience, having captained the Magpies during his time at St James\u2019 Park.<\/p>\n

Bruno joined Newcastle United in January 2022 and went on to make nearly 200 appearances during four-and-a-half seasons at St James\u2019 Park. A commanding presence in midfield, he played a pivotal role in Newcastle\u2019s Carabao Cup triumph in 2025 and helped the club secure qualification for the UEFA Champions League across two seasons.<\/p>\n

Guimar\u00e3es admitted that leaving Newcastle was one of the toughest decisions of his career. Still, they said he was ready for a new challenge and determined to win major trophies with Arsenal<\/a>.<\/p>\n
