The Equinox EV is Chevrolet\u2019s battery-electric compact SUV, built on General Motors\u2019 Ultium architecture and sold alongside, rather than in place of, the gasoline <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodcarbadcar.net\/chevrolet-equinox-sales-figures\/\">Chevrolet Equinox<\/a>. Deliveries began in the spring of 2024, and General Motors reported that July 2025 was the best month any non-Tesla electric vehicle had recorded in the United States.<\/p>\n<div class=\"gms-card\">\n<p>Specifications<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Class:<\/strong> Compact electric SUV<\/li>\n<li><strong>Battery:<\/strong> 85 kWh lithium-ion pack<\/li>\n<li><strong>Range:<\/strong> EPA-estimated 319 miles with front-wheel drive and 307 miles with all-wheel drive<\/li>\n<li><strong>Motor output:<\/strong> 220 horsepower and 243 lb-ft with front-wheel drive; 300 horsepower and 355 lb-ft with all-wheel drive<\/li>\n<li><strong>Drivetrain:<\/strong> Single-motor front-wheel drive or dual-motor all-wheel drive<\/li>\n<li><strong>Charging:<\/strong> Up to 150 kW on a DC fast charger and 11.5 kW on alternating current, with a 19 kW onboard charger optional on all-wheel-drive models<\/li>\n<li><strong>Trims:<\/strong> LT 1, LT 2 and RS<\/li>\n<li><strong>Chief rivals:<\/strong> Tesla Model Y, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Ford Mustang Mach-E, Kia EV6<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Equinox EV uses a CCS1 charge port and reaches Tesla Superchargers through a General Motors approved adapter. The motor output figures above carry over from General Motors\u2019 2025 model-year specification sheet, which is the most recent the company has published for this vehicle.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"sec-us\" style=\"scroll-margin-top: 110px;\">Chevrolet Equinox EV Sales in the United States<\/h2>\n<p>Chevrolet began delivering the Equinox EV in the spring of 2024 and the ramp was quick. After three opening months in the low hundreds, monthly volume cleared 3,000 units in July 2024 and finished the year at 6,493 in December, the strongest single month the nameplate has recorded. The 2024 total of 28,873 units therefore covers April onward rather than a full year. The 2025 figure of 32,860 is also incomplete: the dataset carries no July, August or September, so the true full-year total is higher than the number shown and the year-over-year gain above is understated. The months that are present still describe the shape of the year clearly. The Equinox EV averaged better than 4,600 units a month across the first half of 2025, then recorded 1,769, 1,638 and 1,704 in October, November and December, the quarter immediately after the federal clean vehicle tax credit stopped being available for vehicles acquired past 30 September 2025.
