So I’ve been sheltering in place for a few days now which means I’m fully stocked up some new and exciting strains. One of these life-saving extracts I picked up the other day from my favorite dispensary in Portland, Americanna RX, in the Lemongrass Live Resin from Buddies Brand, based out of the Rose City for just $18 USD a gram. Now to give you a little strain background, the Lemongrass is a highly sought after Indica-Dominant hybrid bred by Humboldt Seed Company, that crosses Lemon Kush and Humboldt Gelato, to create a strain that is said to be super potent and delicious so I was beyond excited to give this one a try… especially with an insane pandemic on the horizon.
I decided to use my Toro Glass Bubbler for this sample and upon opening the jar I was hit in the face with nice notes of skunk and sweet citrus. As for the appearance of this gear, the Lemongrass was a bit on the darker side but looked like little amber caviar eggs that glistened in the sunlight. As I dug my nail into the extract I was more than pleased as the Lemongrass Live Resin was very easy to work with as I was able to easily grab a healthy-sized dab. Once the glob made contact with my quartz banger is was blast-off time as I instantly found myself tasting deep notes of lemons and diesel while sweating profusely from my forehead which is always a great sign. I knew the Lemongrass was heavy as I quickly needed to find a place to sit down as I was beyond ripped. This extract was devastating as I found myself couch-locked for the next two hours. The high was wonderful for my stress and chronic pains but be warned you will not be getting anything done with the Lemongrass Live Resin. This is definitely not for the rookies so I would steer clear of this fire if you dislike getting destroyed.
In the end, I found the Lemongrass Live Resin to be wonderful on all levels. When it came to her taste and pungency, the Lemongrass had a wonderful flavor profile dominated by deep notes of earthy, lemony goodness so I gave her a score of 9.4/10. In regards to her strength and potency, this is where the Lemongrass earned my respect. One hit of this wonderful girl had me completely baked and kept me there for over two hours so for that reason I gave the Lemongrass Live Resin a score of 9.6/10 making it one of the highest I’ve given this year. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this wonderful strain to everyone who is able to find it as it truly Cannabis Cup worthy.
