No matter how much damage you deal, it won&#8217;t die. Your goal is to survive the hunt until it&#8217;s over.\n                        <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/shift-at-midnight-identify-doppelgangers-correctly\/\" target=\"_blank\">let a doppelganger complete its purchase<\/a> and leave the shop, the Entity will attack your shop at the end of your shift. Thankfully, the game gives you a chance to prepare first. Also, <strong>make sure to barricade doors<\/strong> before the timer runs out. This will also slow down the Entity.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t forget to use the hiding spots around the shop. They won&#8217;t keep you safe forever, since the Entity will eventually find you, but they do buy you some time.<\/p>\n<p>Before the attack begins, you should spend some money on better gear if you can. The starting pistol is enough early on, but stronger weapons make a big difference later. <strong>I had the most success with the Flamethrower<\/strong>. Don&#8217;t worry about spending too much, since weapons, ammo, and traps are bought with the shop&#8217;s money, not your personal funds.<\/p>\n<section class=\"emaki-custom-block emaki-custom-note\" data-nosnippet=\"\">\n<div class=\"emaki-custom note\" id=\"custom_block_10\">\n<div class=\"custom_block-content note\">\n<p>There&#8217;s also a good chance a Shrieking Doll will appear during the hunt. It looks creepy, but it&#8217;s much easier to deal with than the Entity. A few shots are usually enough to get rid of it.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<p>Eventually, the Entity will run out of patience and disappear on its own. <strong>The game will notify you when the hunt is over<\/strong>. Once that happens, you&#8217;ve made it through another shift. If it&#8217;s your first time surviving an Entity attack, you&#8217;ll <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/shift-at-midnight-all-achievements-how-to-complete\/\" target=\"_blank\">unlock the Still
