Mitch McConnell has been discharged from a medical rehabilitation center, he announced on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The Kentucky Republican was hospitalized in mid-June and has been out of Congress since, prompting alarm and widespread speculation over his health.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEarlier today, I was discharged from the rehabilitation center to continue my recovery at home,\u201d McConnell said in a statement. \u201cElaine and I are grateful for the many well wishes and support from friends, colleagues, and Kentuckians, and for the attentive care I\u2019ve received from excellent doctors, nurses, therapists, and hospital staff.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Weeks after entering the hospital, McConnell\u2019s office disclosed he was <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/world\/americas\/us-politics\/mitch-mcconnell-illness-hospitalized-b3013557.html\">admitted after a fall<\/a> and had since developed a case of mild pneumonia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy doctors have confirmed that I didn\u2019t break any bones or suffer a concussion,\u201d McConnell said in July. \u201cI didn\u2019t have a heart attack or a stroke. I don\u2019t have any tumors or hemorrhages.
