The Herald has approached the National Party for comment.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><em><strong>NZME<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2026this is insane!<\/p>\n<p>After gerrymandering the enrolment timeframe to steal the next election, Luxon just wants to replace the entire MMP system to retain power?<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s pretty impressive.<\/p>\n<p>We have MMP because it is representative of the people who live here!<\/p>\n<p>FPP, which is the system Luxon wants, results in vast swathes of voters whose vote count for nothing.<\/p>\n<p>The way the Right move to disenfranchise the vote so that they rig the system should be a nation wide shame.<\/p>\n<p>It feels like we have gone right off the rails now.<\/p>\n<p>That the Prime Minister would throw in an MMP referendum without even telling his own Caucus is a wild ride.<\/p>\n<p>He says he wants a referendum on MMP, his Caucus claim he was just spit balling.<\/p>\n<p>Who knows what the bloody hell is going on.<\/p>\n<p>Winston has Luxon held hostage until the election where the MMP referendum will now be the talking point!<\/p>\n<p>How on earth can National, ACT and NZF work together now?<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content single-content\">\n<p><em><strong>Independent Media is more important than ever, especially in the lead up to the Election.
