my natural authentic self makes most people uncomfortable.

I once believed that waking up, being aware and being oneself openly and honestly would create a person that everyone could not help but adore.

oh well, don’t believe the hype. Just being yourself in a world that tries to control your every move is not straightforward or easy.

my experience of PTSD is that there are specific (unidentified) species of bacteria/virus/fungus that opportunistically take advantage of the stressed out state. In balanced numbers these micro-organisms might be totally benign.

Once the microbiome becomes riddled with fear the micro-organisms take on the “signature” of the trauma and the story is held in the body with some stubbornness in this way. That is an intricate part of what PTS is for me.

the gut influences the whole body and is understood in some circles as a second brain. I cannot separate it from the brain at all…the gut begins in the mouth…it’s right there…right next to the brain. We are holistic beings. Cutting us up into bits makes no sense.

A somatic prayer of intent: let the hardness in my head be transferred to my heart where it can be treated with love and kindness. Amen and amen. So be it.

***

it took me years to figure out that no one but me would know my path and I would have to uncover it one step at a time…I started doing much better when I stopped looking for someone who actually knew what to do. I never found that person except inside of me. She knows.

***

Life is mean, nasty and cruel. It will chew you up and spit you out. Then it will hold you like a baby and love you until you come back to your senses. It will hold you up and worship with you. Life Will Love You.

***

moderation includes everything and does not necessarily have anything to do with monasticism or other perceived extreme ways of living tantra practiced in idyllic measure is moderation. most spirituality is practiced as asceticism. hedonism is the flip side of asceticism.

***

The human hybrid — viral, bacterial, fungal, AI, and the list goes on. To attach to identity when we consider what we really “are” is radical myopia.

so, yeah,

Follow her into the wilderness. She will heal you.
