Even MAGA stalwarts like former Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene and Former Fox news propagandist Tucker Carlson have left their party in anger over Trump.<\/p>\n

Former Rep.\u00a0Marjorie Taylor Greene<\/a>\u00a0(R-Ga.) on Monday said she\u2019s \u201cdone\u201d with the\u00a0Republican Party<\/a>, which she said has turned into the \u201cAmerica LAST\u201d party.<\/p>\n

Her comments came after right-wing commentator and former\u00a0Fox News<\/a>\u00a0host\u00a0Tucker Carlson<\/a>\u00a0said he was\u00a0done with the party<\/a>\u00a0after voting Republican his entire life.<\/p>\n

Carlson called the GOP \u201cimmoral\u201d and said it\u2019s \u201cnot loyal to the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n

Greene agreed.<\/p>\n

\u201cTucker is not the only one who is done supporting the Republican Party,\u201d\u00a0she wrote on X<\/a>, saying she speaks for \u201cA LOT\u201d of people who \u201care absolutely fed up and will not support a party that betrays its voters and country.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Former Rep.\u00a0Marjorie Taylor Greene<\/a>\u00a0(R-Ga.) on Saturday dropped a telling sign that she and\u00a0Tucker Carlson<\/a>\u00a0could be planning to start a new political party in the wake of their very public breakups with\u00a0Donald Trump<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0GOP<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Greene shared a picture to\u00a0her social media feed<\/a>\u00a0showing her and her husband, Brian Glenn, sitting at a wooden table with Carlson at\u00a0his studio<\/a>\u00a0in Maine.<\/p>\n

The group is joined by two noteworthy faces:\u00a0Rep.\u00a0Thomas Massie<\/a>, the Kentucky Republican who lost a primary battle against a Trump-backed opponent after he and Greene pushed for the release of the Epstein files; and\u00a0Joe Kent<\/a>, the former director of the National Counterterrorism Center\u00a0who abruptly resigned from his post in March<\/a>\u00a0in protest of the president\u2019s\u00a0Iran war<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Massie and Kent are joined by their wives, Carolyn Moffa and Heather Kent, respectively.<\/p>\n

Like Greene, Carlson,\u00a0Massie<\/a>and Kent<\/a>\u00a0are among the most prominent conservative critics of a conflict that\u2019s\u00a0unpopular<\/a>\u00a0with a majority of Americans.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe said no more foreign wars and we meant it and supported Donald Trump because he made that promise.\u00a0But he\u2019s betrayed us all,\u201d wrote Greene, once a staunch MAGA supporter who has since deemed the movement to be\u00a0\u201call a lie<\/a>\u201d following months of feuding with the president.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur commitment is America First for all Americans, right, left, and center.
The movement has begun.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Few outside of the right-wing extremists who dominate the GOP bought into the MAGA lies. Trump, riddled with dementia, has told so many lies so often that the truth is never available.<\/p>\n

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who ran against (and lost to) Trump in 2016, told an interviewer:<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m gonna do something I haven\u2019t done for the entire campaign for those of you all who\u2019ve traveled with me all across the country, I\u2019m gonna tell you what I really think of Donald Trump. This man is a pathological liar, he doesn\u2019t know the difference between truth and lies, he lies practically every word that comes out of his mouth. And in a pattern that is straight out of a psychology text book, his response is to accuse everyone else of lying. He accuses everyone on that debate stage of lying. And it\u2019s simply a mindless yell. Whatever he does, he accuses everyone else of doing. The man cannot tell the truth but he combines it with being a narcissist. A narcissist at a level I don\u2019t think this country has ever seen. Donald Trump is such a narcissist that Barack Obama looks at him and goes, \u201cDude, what\u2019s your problem?\u2019 Everything in Donald\u2019s world is about Donald. And he combines being a pathological liar \u2013 and I say pathological because I actually think Donald, if you hooked him up to a lie detector test, he could say one thing in the morning, one thing at noon and one thing in the evening, all contradictory and he\u2019d pass the lie detector test each time. Whatever lie he\u2019s telling at that minute, he believes it. But the man is utterly amoral. Let me finish this, please. The man is utterly amoral. Morality does not exist for him.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Cruz, however, became an ally of Trump, one of many Republicans who joined what became the MAGA Cult. They, like Trump, abandoned morality and honesty and fell lockstep into his rabid followers.<\/p>\n

We saw the same thing happen Monday when two GOP Senators abandoned their demands that corrupt Attorney General nominee Todd Blanche provide them, in writing, guarantees that an illegal $1.8 billion \u201cslush fund\u201d to benefit criminals convicted and imprisoned for their part in the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol Riot driven by Trump be eliminated along with expanded immunity for Trump, his family, and cohorts for tax fraud.<\/p>\n

They backed down and let Blanche provide two one-page statements, one vague and signed and the other unsigned that still provided immunity.<\/p>\n

Their capitulations brought an angry response from Lawrence O\u2019Donnell on his \u201cLast Word\u201d telecast late Monday night. <\/p>\n

Will Blanche, after confirmation, go ahead and give Trump the $1.8 billion in taxpayer funds to use for his personal wishes? Of course he will.<\/p>\n
