This landmark deal underscores the growing interest in renewable energy investments from both strategic and financial players. The deal was announced in October 2024.<\/p>\n<h3>A Strategic Exit for the Family Office<\/h3>\n<p>The portfolio, comprising 11 wind farms, was acquired by a consortium of investors, including Amundi Energy Transition, TTR Energy, Green Electricity Master Invest IV, and <a href=\"https:\/\/hexagon-energy.com\/\">Hexagon Renewable Energy<\/a>. Amundi Energy Transition, which manages nearly \u20ac1 billion in assets, secured a majority stake in the portfolio, while Belgian developer TTR Energy has taken on the role of portfolio manager. Hexagon belongs to the <a href=\"https:\/\/renewables.digital\/product\/renewable-energy-developers-europe\/\">leading renewable energy developers in Europe<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>A strategic shift for family office investments in renewables?<\/h3>\n<p>While in recent years, most European family offices were rather keen on new acquisitions of solar and wind parks, this transaction portrays a divestment. Our research team has observed a decreasing interest in renewable energy assets from EU single family offices. For instance, the well-known Wirtgen family offices have reported significantly fewer deals in 2024. Alternatively, the family office could have simply focused on a common project development, which final goal is the sale of the project itself.
