At the moment, I\u2019m trying to find a place to get a shot while not <em>getting <\/em>shot.<\/p>\n<p>I still stumble upon articles about advertising and marketing to Boomers:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.campaignlive.com\/article\/dont-forget-us-brands-reach-baby-boomers\/1704300\" target=\"_blank\">Don\u2019t forget about us: How brands can reach Baby Boomers<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.advertisingtobabyboomers.com\/2019\/04\/no-news-news-fake-news.html\" target=\"_blank\">It\u2019s the same old same old<\/a><\/strong> drenched in dollops of bad advice. I could parse it, but after so many years of doing that I\u2019m bored doing that:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.campaignlive.com\/article\/dont-forget-us-brands-reach-baby-boomers\/1704300\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogger.googleusercontent.com\/img\/b\/R29vZ2xl\/AVvXsEgUQaZDJBeuTHIl1CeBIOUdQBIe-_vw5B4uhMNCI4C42Tvv-grgriPHqlaWwroDS3d-iSjFGcDbLuTR7jND2-Gr7YY8hYXNoVXmBHhzeJ_oKi48qRmXuKt7alkODFNVFY2TukzMPw\/?imgmax=800\" style=\"margin: 0px 0px 0px 5px;\"\/><\/a>19 NOVEMBER 2012<\/em><br \/><strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.advertisingtobabyboomers.com\/2012\/11\/theres-lot-of-bad-advice-out-there-and.html\" target=\"_blank\">There\u2019s a lot of bad advice out there. And old advice. And old bad advice.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>What\u2019s happening and what\u2019ll probably happen: <\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re watching a lot more TV. As always, television is the best place for advertising. <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>17 MAY 2019<\/em><em><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" align=\"right\" height=\"143\" src=\"https:\/\/blogger.googleusercontent.com\/img\/b\/R29vZ2xl\/AVvXsEjjWlqw06MrGUVAu__CK0Fcmrh-SiLMb4tnDFbIm-vIid5_NU8Vte7peUFitl33FdfvYR6qHwigl7_d5nJSSeGkMiOFZOQgDxWMtZY5UAdpRBiIEYAGg03E_Kt1Foe3NuaUgEpqFQ\/s1600\/image%5B3%5D.png\" style=\"margin: 0px 0px 0px 4px; float: right; display: inline;\" width=\"229\"\/><\/em><br \/><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.advertisingtobabyboomers.com\/2019\/05\/weve-done-that-already_17.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>We\u2019ve done that already.<\/strong><\/a><br \/>Nothing I can think of is as lively and chipper as television in its final throes.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Magazines have been making a sort-of comeback. People are getting exhausted staring at their phones\/computers. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.advertisingtobabyboomers.com\/2012\/03\/digital-distractions.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>To break the monotony<\/strong><\/a> they\u2019re picking up, getting sucked into magazines they might normally only flip through: <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.advertisingtobabyboomers.com\/2012\/11\/the-costco-connection.html\" target=\"_blank\">Costco Connection<\/a><\/strong>, AARP publications, all special interest magazines. This more than likely also includes general interest magazines (although I have to admit that I don\u2019t recognize any of the people in <em>People Magazine<\/em> anymore).<\/p>\n<p>Like everybody, we\u2019re rarin\u2019 to go just about anywhere as soon as it\u2019s safe. Plans are being hatched:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/business-55654127\" target=\"_blank\">Ov<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" align=\"right\" height=\"84\" src=\"https:\/\/media-exp1.licdn.com\/dms\/image\/C4D0BAQEKMnFzo3rIIw\/company-logo_200_200\/0\/1519855895161?e=1619049600&amp;v=beta&amp;t=REzqXpO-jOQls0xgeJISLqTKTvfWQ4P2GKbyRTTd3AA\" style=\"margin: 0px 0px 0px 10px; float: right; display: inline;\" width=\"84\"\/>er-50s rush to book holidays as vaccine boosts confidence<\/a><\/strong><br \/><em>By Simon Browning<\/em><br \/>National Express&#8217;s coach holiday businesses say bookings made by those 65 and over have increased by 185% in the last fortnight compared to last year.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>That\u2019s also happening and will be happening in the U.S. and elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p>Advertising.
