You can do this with any position pass out of Unreal, Houdini, Blender, etc, using our free plugin.<\/p>\n<p>You can do this with videos too \u2013 rain, energy forcefield effects, etc! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Kr8zAEQTpY\">pic.twitter.com\/Kr8zAEQTpY<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 (Alex) Compositing Academy (@CompAcademyVFX) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CompAcademyVFX\/status\/1839482506241839152?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 27, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Add surface imperfections to 3D models directly within Nuke<\/strong><br \/>pScatter is intended to break up the often-too-clean look of renders from 3D applications: the documentation namechecks Blender, Houdini, Maya and Unreal Engine.<\/p>\n<p>Rather than requiring the original 3D model, it distributes a texture map over the render using a position data pass, with users able to adjust texture placement and density.<\/p>\n<p>Suggested use cases range from adding surface imperfections like dirt, scratches, snow or raindrops to more stylized effects like energy FX or \u201csci-fi camouflage patterns\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>According to Compositing Academy, the plugin provides a more controllable alternative to using procedural noise within Nuke.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Licensing and system requirements<\/strong><br \/>pScatter is compatible with Nuke 15.0+.
