As a long-time owner, I’ve had my trusty Kamado Grill for about six or seven years now. Two years ago, I decided to build a platform for it. I wanted something sturdy and solid to support my heavy grill.

Initially, the grill came with a cart with wheels, but that setup wasn’t ideal for my needs. I wanted a more permanent and stable solution.

I considered various options, but decided a solid concrete platform as part of an outdoor kitchen would work best. But I didn’t want it to sit directly on the concrete itself.

After some research, I discovered these Kamado shoes on Amazon. These feet seemed like the perfect solution, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.

Durability and Stability: They are designed to withstand the substantial weight of such a large porcelain grill. This thing is heavy, and the last thing I wanted was to worry about the stability of my setup. These have proven to be incredibly sturdy and reliable.

Aesthetic Appeal: One of the pleasant surprises was how well the Kamado feet matched the grill. They complement the color and design of the Kamado Joe, making the entire setup look sleek and cohesive. It’s a small detail, but it adds to the overall satisfaction and they are hardly noticeable.

Practical Design: The feet provide about an inch of clearance underneath the grill, allowing for good air circulation. This is crucial because it helps prevent the platform from heating up too much. This wasn’t a major concern, but this was new territory for me.
