In this episode we travel to Uganda to hear the riveting story of the Uganda Cancer Institute. Following the publication of her long-anticipated book, Africanizing Oncology<\/em>, we talk to Marissa about the tumultuous, long and vibrant history of one of Africa\u2019s most important Cancer Institute. Marissa shares with us the struggles of doing doctoral fieldwork as a young doctoral student and then turning that fieldwork into a book. She shares with us wonderful anecdotes from the life at the Institute and gives us a rich insight into its complex history, from the late colonial period to the present day.
