{"id":61438,"date":"2025-02-01T04:44:09","date_gmt":"2025-02-01T04:44:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peraltafinancing.com\/aerospace\/dubai-airport-records-busiest-year-in-ten-years-of-dominance\/"},"modified":"2025-02-01T04:44:09","modified_gmt":"2025-02-01T04:44:09","slug":"dubai-airport-records-busiest-year-in-ten-years-of-dominance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fivemor.com\/?p=61438","title":{"rendered":"Dubai Airport records busiest year in ten years of dominance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Dubai International Airport (DXB) has recorded its busiest ever year to seal ten years of dominance at the top, according to the Airports Council International (ACI).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On January 30, 2025, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aerotime.aero\/tag\/dubai-international-airport\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"follow\" title=\"\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Dubai Airport<\/a> posted annual figures of 92.3 million guests in 2024, surpassing its previous all-time high of 89.1 million in 2018.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Last year saw 200,000 more passengers use Dubai Airport than had been expected, with December 2024 emerging as the busiest month with 8.2 million guests.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"article-leaderboard bn-1\"\/>\n<p>This is the tenth year in a row that the <a href=\"https:\/\/aci.aero\/about-aci\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" title=\"\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">Airports Council International<\/a> has awarded DXB the title of the world\u2019s busiest airport. However, in previous years alternative industry reports have recorded Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) as the international front runner.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dubai Airport said that it is aiming to reach the milestone of 100 million annual guests by 2027.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, said<strong>: <\/strong>\u201cCrossing the 92 million mark is a monumental achievement for DXB and for Dubai. It reflects the relentless drive, collaboration, and passion of the one DXB community \u2013 our people and partners \u2013 who work together to deliver seamless, world-class experiences that leave a lasting impression on every guest.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"article-leaderboard bn-2\"\/>\n<p>Over the last ten years tourism has surged in Dubai, with visitors from all over the world attracted to its hotels, entertainment and warm climate. Since 2014, DXB has welcomed more than 700 million guests on over 3.3 million flights\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Chairman of Dubai Airports and CEO of Emirates, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, said: \u201cDubai International (DXB) is a global success story that reflects the UAE\u2019s ability to transform bold ambitions into reality.
