{"id":60221,"date":"2025-01-31T15:29:59","date_gmt":"2025-01-31T15:29:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peraltafinancing.com\/aerospace\/taag-angola-welcomes-first-787-9-complete-with-unusual-logo\/"},"modified":"2025-01-31T15:29:59","modified_gmt":"2025-01-31T15:29:59","slug":"taag-angola-welcomes-first-787-9-complete-with-unusual-logo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fivemor.com\/?p=60221","title":{"rendered":"TAAG Angola welcomes first 787-9 complete with unusual logo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>TAAG Angola Airlines is celebrating the arrival of its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner, complete with a special new livery and an unusual logo.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Boeing widebody is the first of four Dreamliners that are due to arrive, with an additional 787-9 and two larger 787-10s set to join the TAAG Angola fleet in the near future.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According to the airline, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aerotime.aero\/tag\/boeing-787-dreamliner\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"follow\" title=\"\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Boeing B787-9<\/a> features a rebranded livery which \u201cembodies Angola\u2019s heritage, with the visibility of the Palanca displayed on the aircraft\u2019s tail and engine fuselage\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"article-leaderboard bn-1\"\/>\n<p>The aircraft, registered D2-TEQ and named \u2018Namibe\u2019, also features a special logo in celebration of Angola\u2019s 50th anniversary of independence (1975-2025).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson for the airline said: \u201cOn November 11, 2025, Angola will mark the 50th anniversary of its national independence, a milestone for reflecting on the country\u2019s journey towards freedom, peace, and progress. Under the slogan \u2018Angola 50 Years: Preserving and Valuing the Achievements Made, Building a Better Future,\u2019 these celebrations aim to strengthen national pride and unity among all Angolans while highlighting past accomplishments and future challenges.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" title=\"TAAG Angola Airlines Boeing 787 9 61<sup>st<\/sup> anniversary of the start of the country\u2019s armed struggle.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"article-leaderboard bn-2\"\/>\n<p>The first TAAG Angola 787-9, leased by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aercap.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" title=\"\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">AerCap<\/a>, arrived at Luanda Dr Antonio Agostinho Neto Airport (NBJ) on January 29, 2025, from Everett Paine Field (PAE).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe delivery of the 787-9 is a pivotal step in our strategy to modernize TAAG Angola Airlines\u2019 fleet,\u201d said Nelson Pedro Rodrigues de Oliveira, CEO of TAAG Angola Airlines. \u201cThis airplane brings the efficiency and versatility we need to meet growing market demands, replace our aging widebody fleet, and deliver a world-class experience to our passengers.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>TAAG Angola Airlines currently operates five 777-300ER (Extended Range) airplanes, three 777-200ERs, and seven Next-Generation 737s, connecting Angola to 12 destinations across Africa, Europe, South America and China.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"article-leaderboard bn-3\"\/>\n<p>The introduction of the 787 Dreamliner will enable the carrier to expand its long-haul network, with plans to launch new routes to Europe and explore opportunities in Asia and North America.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe 787 Dreamliner will complement TAAG Angola Airlines\u2019 fleet of Boeing 737 and 777 jets, as we continue to support the airline in its mission to connect people and places across the globe,\u201d said Anbessie Yitbarek, Vice President
