I\u2019ve always been incredibly fond of hedgehogs. As a child I saved up my pocket money to donate to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.britishhedgehogs.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The British Hedgehog Preservation Society<\/a><\/strong> and I wanted everything \u2018hedgehog\u2019. The Yoto Card is great value with 8 hours of audio with several other stories as well as Hodgeheg.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Fences and barriers in gardens make it harder for hedgehogs to move around in search of food and mates. Pesticides also harm the insects they rely on for food. <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"how-to-help-hedgehogs\">How to Help Hedgehogs<\/h2>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Conservation efforts, such as creating hedgehog-friendly gardens with access holes in fences, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amzlink.to\/az0B6o3Rn2B72\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">leaving out fresh water<\/a><\/strong>, and avoiding harmful chemicals, can help protect these wonderful creatures and support their survival for future generations. <\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">We\u2019ve got a hedgehog highway in our garden, just a small cut out in either side of our fences and it\u2019s certainly meant we\u2019ve had hedgehogs about. This was an activity I did with my daughter when she was a toddler. The size of the stitches I\u2019d recommend this for ten years +; a great gift for a creative teen. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/4jBJUcT\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">This kit is very similar<\/a><\/strong>. I really enjoy needle felting and for Christmas in 2024 by other half got me <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amzlink.to\/az0VykAfPvd6j\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">this kit<\/a><\/strong> that I plan to do soon. When I started doing iris folding I purchased this lovely kit which included a hedgehog. The hedgehog is now available as part of a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/tidd.ly\/3WCEwfS\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">woodland pack<\/a><\/strong> and a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/tidd.ly\/40BwIvX\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">Christmas woodland pack<\/a><\/strong>. There\u2019s also a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/tidd.ly\/4aEjenC\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">pdf\/ svg pattern<\/a><\/strong> available and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/tidd.ly\/3Epibff\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">hedgehog card apertures here (includes pattern)<\/a><\/strong>. I\u2019d recommend iris folding for everyone from around six years of age.<\/p>\n<p>As always, I would recommend adult supervision with activities and take care to ensure the items you are using are suitable for your child in both age and development.
