{"id":56313,"date":"2025-01-29T21:35:48","date_gmt":"2025-01-29T21:35:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peraltafinancing.com\/aerospace\/trump-claims-biden-abandoned-nasa-astronauts-in-space\/"},"modified":"2025-01-29T21:35:48","modified_gmt":"2025-01-29T21:35:48","slug":"trump-claims-biden-abandoned-nasa-astronauts-in-space","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fivemor.com\/?p=56313","title":{"rendered":"Trump claims Biden \u2018abandoned\u2019 NASA astronauts in space"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>US President Donald Trump has criticized the Biden administration, accusing it of \u201cabandoning\u201d two NASA astronauts currently stranded on the International Space Station (ISS).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/posts\/113909188940119917\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">post<\/a> on Truth Social on January 29, 2025, Trump asked SpaceX founder Elon Musk to \u201cgo get\u201d the two \u201cbrave astronauts who have been virtually abandoned in space.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The astronauts, Sunita Williams and Barry \u201cButch\u201d Wilmore, have been on the ISS since June 2024. They were meant to return to Earth after a short mission, but technical problems with their Boeing Starliner capsule prolonged their stay for seven months.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"article-leaderboard bn-1\"\/>\n<p>\u201cElon will soon be on his way,\u201d Trump wrote. \u201cHopefully, all will be safe. They set aside two empty seats for the stranded astronauts.
