Gujarat Woman&#8217;s Community Helps 5000"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Growing up in a family that cared deeply for animals, Bhargsetu Sharma from Gujarat always had compassion for animals. However, an event in 2012 turned her passion into her life\u2019s mission.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA few puppies were thrown away from my society because they used to poop or litter around. We brought them back and realised that they have a right to live on this planet, which belongs to all of us,\u201d says Bhargsetu, who is now in her 20s.<\/p>\n<p>Soon after, her friends joined her cause and they started receiving multiple calls for <a href=\"https:\/\/thebetterindia.com\/328239\/animal-rescue-and-rehabilitation-centres-in-india\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">animal rescue<\/a>. To expand the work, she started a Facebook page called \u2018Humans with Humanity\u2019 in 2013 along with her friend Shardul Dave.<\/p>\n<p><label class=\"ad-head-label\">Advertisement<\/label><\/p>\n<p>What started with eight members is today a team of 3,000 people across the country. So far, her team has rescued over 5,000 stray animals like dogs, monkeys, and birds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe do not call ourselves animal welfare activists but we call ourselves humanitarians.
