He believed that scientific analysis would lead to the discovery of the<br \/>\n\u2018one best way\u2019 to do things and \/or carrying out an operation. This, according<br \/>\nto him could help save cost and time. Taylor\u2019s technique was later introduced<br \/>\nto private industrialists, and later into the various government organizations<br \/>\n(Jeong, 2007).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;\"><span class=\"apple-style-span\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"color: black; font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;;\">Taylor&#8217;s approach is often referred to as Taylor&#8217;s Principles,<br \/>\nand\/or Taylorism. Taylor&#8217;s scientific management consisted of main four<br \/>\nprinciples (Frederick W. The new model<br \/>\nadvocated the use of private sector-style models, organizational ideas and<br \/>\nvalues to improve the efficiency and service-orientation of the public sector.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;\"><span class=\"apple-style-span\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"color: black; font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;;\">In late 1990s and 2000sJanet and Robert Denhardt(2000) proposed a<br \/>\nnew public service model in response to the dominance of NPM.successor to NPM<br \/>\nis digital era governance, focusing on themes of reintegrating government<br \/>\nresponsibilities, needs-based holism (executing duties in cursive ways), and<br \/>\ndigitalization (exploiting the transformational capabilities of modern IT and<br \/>\ndigital storage).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;\"><span class=\"apple-style-span\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"color: black; font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;;\">The major field to which anthropologists have contributed directly<br \/>\nis that of the administration of dependent peoples, either in a colonial<br \/>\ncontext or in a situation such as that of the North American Indians.<br \/>\nAnthropologists have been widely used as resources of expert knowledge about<br \/>\nthe workings of cultures and societies and have been hired to provide the<br \/>\ninformation and analysis which government officials have used to form policy<br \/>\nand design procedures for its implementation. The post of \u201cGovernment<br \/>\nAnthropologist\u201d was a standard one in the British colonies; the French<br \/>\nestablished research centres which sponsored fieldwork with applied<br \/>\nimplicationsl governments in Canada and the United States have had<br \/>\nanthropologists on staff or as consultants; and in at least one instance, that<br \/>\nof the United States Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands, anthropologists<br \/>\nwere assigned direct administrative responsibility for the implementation of<br \/>\npolicies based upon their own cultural analysis. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;\"><span class=\"apple-style-span\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"color: black; font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;;\">In post war scenario the role of anthropologists in public<br \/>\nadministration is increasingly becoming prominent and inevitable. As the<br \/>\ndifferences between administration and politics is apparent and more scientific<br \/>\ntools are being used for policy making there is a rising demand of<br \/>\nanthropologists to gather baseline data on populations to be governed and<br \/>\nadministered. The catchy phrases like \u201cNeeds Assessment\u201d, \u201cimpact assessments\u201d<br \/>\nwhich are expected to deliver inputs in policy implications, failures and felt<br \/>\nchanges are increasingly becoming fields for anthropologists.
