It\u2019s an <strong>intimate dining experience<\/strong> in traditional Dutch style. Step inside, and you\u2019ll feel like you\u2019ve travelled back in time (with lots of wood, Delft Blue and dark red accents), even when you see the <strong>menu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Heemelrijck on Van Woustraat has been a <strong>hit<\/strong> for years, and it has been named after the restaurant in the Hemelrijk family for generations. Petit is a new, more modern <em>spin-off<\/em> with the same traditional touch. It comes in various types and sizes, including\u00a0<span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\"><strong>aged cheese and apple syrup<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>mascarpone, lemon zest,<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0or <strong>cinnamon whipped cream<\/strong>. You can imagine: it won\u2019t be long before there\u2019s a long queue here daily.<\/p>\n<p>Petit Heemelrijck offers a slightly more extensive <strong>menu<\/strong>\u00a0but stays true to the Dutch character of the restaurant. Think:\u00a0<strong>toasties<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>pea soup<\/strong>\u00a0for lunch, or, of course, a\u00a0<strong>soft white roll with homemade meatballs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>As for snacks, they\u2019re happy to fire up the <strong>deep fryer<\/strong> at this spot (another typical Dutch custom), where they lovingly prepare <strong>oyster mushroom and shrimp croquettes<\/strong>.
