Zooz, the innovative mushroom powered adult soft drink is this month launching an extension to its range: Zooz Activate. Its first listing is with Soho House Group’s 180 House club to coincide with the opening on 27 January 2025 of a new gym at its premises at 180 The Strand, London. The club has a rooftop pool as well as an array of amenities including bars, a restaurant and outdoor terrace.

The new drink, Zooz Activate, will be available in addition to the original Zooz expression – now known as Zooz Elevate. Each expression is designed for a different function and both take advantage of the power of mushrooms, which are increasingly being recognised as an important addition to a healthy diet.

Zooz Activate tastes of guava and is designed to assist with energy & physical endurance. The key ingredients are Shilajit, thought to improve endurance; Cordyceps Mushrooms, believed to support endurance and provide stamina; electrolytes to replenish and hydrate the body; ginseng & astragalus, both said to assist immunity; and natural caffeine for an active energy boost. Zooz Activate is for adults who are pursuing an active lifestyle who need a natural energy edge which makes it a perfect fit with the Soho House brand. It is available in a 330ml aluminium can, which is fully recyclable.

Zooz Elevate, the original expression, retains its original formula and taste which is based on Italian-style bitters. It includes Lion’s Mane Mushrooms that contain beta-glucan and are thought to aid cognition; Cordyceps Mushrooms, Cordyceps Mushrooms whose active ingredient, Cordycepin is the active ingredient, believed to improve endurance; ginseng, which can help the immune system; and natural green caffeine, to boost the metabolism. Zooz Elevate comes in 250ml cans.

The creator of Zooz, Daniel Soos, is a former competitive swimming champion and personal trainer to top businesspeople and celebrities. The independent company he founded, Soos Drink Ltd based in London, took four years to develop the first product which was launched in September 2024.

Daniel Soos, Founder and CEO of Zooz, says: “Zooz original has been well received and so I am excited that Soho House is the first to stock the new expression. With our use of mushrooms, we are a whole new sub-category of adult soft drinks. The increasing interest in drinks that do good, taste good and do you good in growing. Zooz is at the forefront of this upturn in the no- & low- market – functional, wellness drinks that taste good and are good for body and mind. I am delighted that, just six months on from our brand launch, we are now able to introduce a new expression to our brand exclusively with Soho House.”
