While surfing the Internet for stamps with pictures of anthropologists on them, I discovered the existence of Bratislava Su\u0161nik<\/a>, of whom there is a stamp<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I am obviously late to the game \u2014 Su\u0161nik is celebrated for being the greatest Slovenian expert on Paraguayan anthropology ever, a founder of Paraguayan ethnography . There is a very detailed discussion of her life and career on YouTube<\/a> which looks excellent but which I, alas, cannot really understand. <\/p>\n

There are many high quality pictures of her on the Internet, including this one which serves as a model for the stamp:<\/p>\n

In all of these pictures, she looks incredibly hardcore. I\u2019m now intrigued and eager to learn more about Bratislava Su\u0161nik!<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
