Growing to around two to three inches in size, they are ideal for community tanks.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Best types of glofish to live with guppies<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>While most glofish can live with guppies peacefully, there are some specific glofish species that I would recommend over others. <\/p>\n<p>In my experience, the least aggressive glofish are tetras and danios. They live peacefully with each other as well as other species. <\/p>\n<p>I would stay away from putting glofish bettas and glofish sharks with guppies, as these species are known for being a little more aggressive. While they probably could coexist, they are more likely to cause trouble.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fishtankexpert.com\/glofish-tiger-barb-care\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Glofish tiger barbs<\/a> can also be a little aggressive, but they should be fine as long as you have at least 5 in your tank since they are naturally a schooling fish. It\u2019s also important that <a href=\"https:\/\/fishtankexpert.com\/how-many-tiger-barbs-in-a-30-gallon-tank\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">glofish tiger barbs have a big enough tank<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Considering Compatibility<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>To ensure the compatibility and well-being of GloFish and guppies in the same tank, several factors should be considered:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Water Parameters:<\/strong> Both species thrive in similar water conditions, preferring temperatures between 72-82\u00b0F (22-28\u00b0C) and a <a href=\"https:\/\/fishtankexpert.com\/what-should-glofish-ph-level-be\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">pH level<\/a> of 6.8-7.8. Their active swimming creates an engaging and lively display in the aquarium.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tank Setup:<\/strong> Providing hiding places, plants, and decorations helps establish territories and safe spaces for both species. Dense vegetation and floating plants can benefit guppy fry. I also recommend that you provide some <a href=\"https:\/\/fishtankexpert.com\/the-5-best-glofish-tank-decorations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">decorations<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Male-to-Female Ratio:<\/strong> Guppies are known for breeding frequently, and an imbalanced male-to-female ratio can lead to stress or aggression among males. Maintaining a balanced ratio helps prevent issues.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Schooling fish:<\/strong> It is important to note that both guppies and most glofish species are schooling fish, which means they prefer to be kept in groups. In fact, schooling fish can become more aggressive if they are not kept in larger groups. For this reason, I suggest that you get at least 5 guppies and 5 glofish to keep them all happy. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Monitoring Compatibility<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Observing the behavior of GloFish and guppies closely after introducing them into the same tank is crucial. While these species generally coexist well, individual fish may display aggression or territorial behavior, which can disrupt harmony.<\/p>\n<p>Keep an eye out for signs of aggression, such as fin nipping or <a href=\"https:\/\/fishtankexpert.com\/why-are-my-glofish-chasing-each-other\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">chasing<\/a>.
