We just received the Soli Sunshade and tried it out in the back yard to see how easy it is to set up.

Conclusion: It’s really easy. The true test will be how it survives over the long run of use. We’ll be taking this camping and I can also see it as a handy and easy way to create some shelter while stopping for a picnic on road trips—which is our preference so the kids can run around some. But with this, we might even take a picnic even if it’s raining and there’s no shelter at the park or playground. In our case, it will fit over the top of our vehicle’s tailgate and keep us dry.

The video below goes through the setup and take-down process and includes a few ideas on how I could see the product be improved. As a correction, the Soli Sunshade does fit in a 10×10-foot space, but the arched legs eat up a little bit of headroom compared to the rigid standard 10×10-foot pop-up tents. Also, I used a Magic Pop Mic for the first time and while having the range to move around and talk during the video was great, I wasn’t impressed with the audio—I just didn’t want to re-record the whole thing! Sorry.
