In this ultimate guide to the Harry Potter Cafe Tokyo, we\u2019ll cover what you need to know to make the most of your visit.<\/p>\n

WHERE THE HARRY POTTER CAFE TOKYO IS LOCATED<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Tokyo is a big city, but you\u2019ll find this little slice of magic in Akasaka.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Specifically, the Harry Potter Cafe Tokyo is located at the Akasaka Biz Tower in Tokyo.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It\u2019s easy to get to as you just need to get off at the Akasaka metro stop. You go inside the Akasaka Biz Tower, and it\u2019s on the ground floor.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Akasaka Biz Tower is one of the Harry Potter Tokyo locations you\u2019ll want to visit as it not only has the cafe, but a shop where you can buy official merchandise.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As of May 2023, the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was also showing right across the Akasaka Biz Tower.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Harry Potter Cafe Tokyo Reservation | A step-by-step guide<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Walk-ins are not accepted at the Harry Potter cafe Tokyo. That\u2019s why you need to reserve and book a table in advance.\u00a0<\/p>\n

You will need a credit card to secure your booking.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Step 1: Go to tablecheck.com<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Step 2:\u00a0 After confirming that you\u2019ve read their terms, select a date and time and how many you will be.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Note that you can\u2019t book way in advance. In my experience, the times will become available around 2 or 3 weeks from your target date.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Be sure to keep checking the website to see if you can already book.\u00a0<\/p>\n

There\u2019s even a table where you can see the exact times slots.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Step 3: Once you have a date & time, click \u201cselect\u201d on the type of reservation you want.<\/p>\n

Note that there is a cancellation fee if you don\u2019t show up or cancel on the same day.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Step 4: You have to answer the required questions\u00a0<\/p>\n

Step 5: Fill in your personal details\u00a0<\/p>\n

Step 6: Input your credit card details\u00a0<\/p>\n

Once you\u2019ve completed the process you\u2019ll receive an email confirming your booking. And you\u2019ll also get another email reminding you of your booking when the date is near.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Harry Potter Cafe Tokyo Menu<\/strong><\/h2>\n

There are a number of dishes to choose from at the Harry Potter Cafe Tokyo menu from appetizers, mains, desserts, and drinks.<\/p>\n

In case you happen to pass by or weren\u2019t able to book a table, they even have a take out counter inside the Akasaka Biz Tower.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As of December 7, 2023, here are some of the dishes they have based on the website<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Prices range from 900 yen to 2,700 yen for one item.<\/p>\n

APPETIZERS & SIDES: Greenhouse Three Salad, Golden Snitch with Avocado Shrimp, Platform 9 3\/4 Beans, Simmering Cauldron Soup, Hogwarts Sausage and Mash Potato, BlackLake Fish & Chips\u00a0<\/p>\n

MAINS: ogwarts Cheese Toasties Hufflepuff (Bacon & Caramelised Onion), Hogwarts Cheese Toasties Ravenclaw (Chicken & Mushroom), Hogwarts Cheese Toasties Gryffindor (Pork & Onion), Hogwarts Cheese Toasties Slytherin (Smoken Salmon & avocado), Dragon\u2019s Smoke Sparerib, Hogwarts Sunday roast\u00a0<\/p>\n

DESSERT: Eton mess Goblet, Aragog\u2019s Lair, Hedwig Cake<\/p>\n

DRINKS: Expecto Patronum, Wingardium Leviosa, Herbivicus and Stupefy<\/p>\n

Harry Potter Cafe Tokyo Review<\/strong><\/p>\n

My reservation for the Harry Potter Cafe Tokyo was for 2:30pm for two people. Even as early as 2:00pm, we waited near the cafe entrance inside the building.\u00a0<\/p>\n

And around 2:15pm, we decided to wait outside the cafe.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Once outside the cafe, I told the staff we had a reservation and showed her my email reservation as well as the confirmation number.\u00a0<\/p>\n

We didn\u2019t wait long outside, but I was so excited to enter.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Prior to this visit, I had not seen any photos or videos of inside the cafe.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The doors opened and we were called to enter.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As soon as we entered, I said, \u201cOoh!\u201d taking in every detail of the cafe. All tables were full. There was a huge wand hanging from the ceiling. There were portraits across the walls.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The cafe was small, but cozy and magical.\u00a0<\/p>\n

What I was excited to try was the food!\u00a0<\/p>\n

Since we had just eaten a big, hearty lunch, we decided to get dessert.\u00a0<\/p>\n

We ordered Hedwig\u2019s cake, and what we didn\u2019t know was that each person must order one item for the menu.\u00a0<\/p>\n

For example, if you\u2019re three people at the table, you have to order 3 items.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Yes, both of us got the same thing because my order arrived first and it tasted pretty good, so we decided to get another.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The whole thing wasn\u2019t a cake, parts of it were the cake, there hedwig itself was whipped cream.\u00a0<\/p>\n

If we weren\u2019t so full, I would have liked to order the Sunday roast or one of the sandwiches.\u00a0<\/p>\n

That\u2019s something I\u2019ll have to try next time as well as one of the drinks!\u00a0<\/p>\n

But we were super full that time, so we only got dessert.\u00a0<\/p>\n

We didn\u2019t stay long since we left right after we finished eating.\u00a0<\/p>\n

I wanted to go to the Harry Potter merchandise shop across the building and have enough time to browse and buy since our flight was later that evening so we still had to go back to our hotel and get our luggage and take a taxi to the airport.\u00a0<\/p>\n

I\u2019ll definitely be back!\u00a0<\/p>\n
