1. Raise your prices<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Let\u2019s start with an easy way to be able to work less and earn more \u2013 raise your prices. I recommend that business owners should review their prices at least once a year, so if you haven\u2019t reviewed your pricing in the last year do so. Whilst reviewing your pricing you might realise that an increase is possible, which would automatically help you to be able to work less and earn more.<\/p>\n\n

For example, if you are a web designer who is charging \u00a34,000 for a website and on average it takes you 40 hours to complete a website. By raising your prices by 25% from \u00a34,000 to \u00a35,000 you would be able to make money whilst creating fewer websites. For example, if last year you created 20 websites and generated \u00a380,000 you could now only have to make 16 websites to generate the same \u00a380,000. So even if you aimed to make 18 websites, that would mean you generate \u00a390,000 (an extra \u00a310,000), whilst hopefully being able to work 80 hours (2 whole weeks) less.<\/p>\n

2. Create a new scalable offer\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Whilst raising your prices is a great way to work less and earn more the reality is there will come a point where if you raise your prices too high you won\u2019t be able to find enough clients. So if you\u2019ve raised your prices and are still looking to earn more another thing to consider is creating a new scalable offer.<\/p>\n\n

In the web designer example, there is a direct relationship between time worked and money earned. In order to work less and earn more you need to change that relationship. You want to look for ways to increase the amount you can earn in that hour or get to a point where you can earn money without having to work at all.<\/p>\n\n

Depending on your area of expertise and skill there will be so many ways that you can package up your knowledge and skill in order to help other people. And if your aim is to work less and earn more then you should seriously look to have an offer where you aren\u2019t working one-to-one, but instead are working one-to-many.<\/p>\n\n
