Luis Campos Jr.,<br \/>\nvice chair of the House Appropriations Committee, said the\u00a0<\/span>\u20b1<span style=\"font-family: Open Sans;\"\/><span style=\"font-family: Open Sans;\">7.7-billion funding for the Aviation Infrastructure Program will be<br \/>\nused to construct, rehabilitate, and improve runways, taxiways, ramps,<br \/>\ncontrol towers, passenger terminals, and to acquire navigational<br \/>\nequipment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Open Sans;\">Under the 2025 General Appropriations Law, funding for <b>New Dumaguete<\/b> Airport was reduced, but <b>Tacloban Airport <\/b><br \/>\nproject will still receive the largest share of\u00a0\u20b1<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Open Sans;\">2.3 billion, followed by\u00a0<\/span>\u20b1<span style=\"font-family: Open Sans;\"\/><span style=\"font-family: Open Sans;\">1.65<br \/>\nbillion for <b>Pag-asa Island<\/b> Airport, and\u00a0<\/span>\u20b1<span style=\"font-family: Open Sans;\"\/><span style=\"font-family: Open Sans;\">1 billion for <b>Busuanga<br \/>\nAirport<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Open Sans;\">&#8220;We are counting on these upgrades to enhance the<br \/>\noverall air travel experience for passengers, attract more tourists,<br \/>\nsupport the growth of small businesses, and create new jobs,&#8221; Campos<br \/>\nsaid.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Open Sans;\">Other allocations include\u00a0<\/span>\u20b1<span style=\"font-family: Open Sans;\"\/><span style=\"font-family: Open Sans;\">750 million for <b>Laoag<\/b> International Airport,\u00a0<\/span>\u20b1<span style=\"font-family: Open Sans;\"\/><span style=\"font-family: Open Sans;\">360 million for <b>Bacon<\/b> Airport in Sorsogon City,\u00a0<\/span>\u20b1<span style=\"font-family: Open Sans;\"\/><span style=\"font-family: Open Sans;\">280 million<br \/>\nfor <b>Virac<\/b> Airport, and\u00a0<\/span>\u20b1<span style=\"font-family: Open Sans;\"\/><span style=\"font-family: Open Sans;\">250 million for construction of <b>Candon<\/b> City Airport in Ilocos Sur.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Open Sans;\">The New<br \/>\nDumaguete Airport, <b>New Manila<\/b> International Airport, and <b>Camotes Airport<\/b> in Camotes island<br \/>\n will each receive\u00a0<\/span>\u20b1<span style=\"font-family: Open Sans;\"\/><span style=\"font-family: Open Sans;\">200 million, while <b>Camiguin Airport<\/b> is allocated\u00a0<\/span>\u20b1<span style=\"font-family: Open Sans;\"\/><span style=\"font-family: Open Sans;\">180 million.
