With AI development in full swing and a just-announced<\/span> <\/a>$500 billion plan<\/a><\/strong> to further build the infrastructure to serve the future business ecosystem, the industry’s development is inevitable. <\/span><\/p>\n

Of course, as I\u2019ve explained in AI Supercycle, this economic paradigm will play out in 30-50 years.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

As you can see, this will touch different industries, depending on the stage of this supercycle. <\/p>\n

These sub-cycles will work in parallel at a particular stage and reinforce each other.<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019re just in the first phase of <\/span>what I\u2019ve called The Web\u00b2.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

However, and that\u2019s the interesting take, as <\/span>The Web\u00b2<\/a> will be shaped up, it will also work to layer up on top of emerging technologies, finally viable by AI.<\/span><\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

Thus, it turns into a <\/span>re-inforcing loop of faster economic progression.<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

This will turn into a multi-cycle of AI integration, moving from a feature to a core form factor of a business: <\/p>\n

That means many organizations, especially those operating in the software industry, must adapt quickly to a new reality. <\/p>\n

Why? As this will be a disruptive\/creative moment. <\/p>\n

Many parts of the previous paradigm will be scrapped, as <\/span>they were transitional in the first place.<\/a><\/strong> <\/a><\/p>\n

Other parts will be kept to build upon and expand many times over.<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

And since time is running out, they\u2019ll have to do it by \u201cdefending and attacking\u201d the market to prevent falling into the Incumbent Paradox.<\/strong><\/p>\n

That means, as a company, you\u2019ll need to preserve (for as long as you can) and wholly reshape, transform, and redefine (potentially also in complete conflict with your core) your business model.<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

The defend\/attack will only be the beginning of a \u201ccatalyst\u201d that must go through transformation and creation. <\/p>\n

Yet, that\u2019s where we are today; many incumbents are still in defend-attack mode. <\/p>\n

Before they can pass to transform-create mode. <\/p>\n

And I\u2019ll use the example of a company trying to do it as we speak: Google.<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

That transformation comes with a complete re-org; there is no way out!<\/p>\n

The progression from <\/span>technical implementation<\/strong> to full-scale <\/span>business transformation<\/strong> starts with project-based changes like technology stack and team structure; a <\/span>tipping point<\/strong> is reached when technical initiatives demand broader organizational shifts. <\/span><\/p>\n

The reason is that integrating that technology into the core will require a cultural shift within the organization, which can only happen via a massive re-org. <\/p>\n

This marks the transition to a <\/span>strategic initiative<\/strong>, requiring changes in business processes, operational models, and strategic capabilities. <\/span><\/p>\n

Ultimately, it leads to business transformation involving organizational redesign, cultural shifts, and business model evolution.<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

This will need to move from a project-focused to an AI-first re-org: <\/p>\n
