We\u2019ve highlighted digital humanities projects such as <a href=\"https:\/\/themetropole.blog\/2024\/07\/09\/digital-summer-school-sunset-over-sunset\/\">Sunset Over Sunset<\/a> exploring Ed Ruscha\u2019s photography of the city and the mapping of <a href=\"https:\/\/themetropole.blog\/2022\/07\/26\/digital-summer-school-bunker-hill-refrain\/\">Bunker Hill <\/a>as part of our annual <a href=\"https:\/\/themetropole.blog\/category\/digital-summer-school\/\">Digital Summer School<\/a> project. Yet we\u2019ve never featured it as a theme month. We invite pitches from historians and other writers regarding the city\u2019s history (we will consider pieces that focus on L.A. suburbs as well), using these examples as a guide to what and how it\u2019s been covered.<\/p>\n<p>Pitches are due by March 10, 2025 and drafts due by April 10, 2025.
