Seven years on, the OCT are now fundraising for and creating landmark Ocean initiatives including seagrass restoration and nationwide education programmes.<\/p>\nRoger also helped us to navigate the Covid-19 closure, successfully reopening and strengthening our position as the UK\u2019s national aquarium, at the heart of Britain\u2019s Ocean City. Having responded to difficult and unpredictable challenges, Roger will retire from his position having built a stronger foundation for the OCT and the NMA, both financially and operationally.<\/p>\n
\u201cRoger\u2019s visionary leadership and dedication to marine conservation and education has been inspiring to see. Everyone who knows him (and his octopus costume at presentations!) will understand why his enthusiasm for the ocean has been infectious.
