President Donald Trump \u2013 what will he do on day one? All the executive orders to undo Joe Biden.<\/h6>\n

In less than 24 hours, they will swear Donald J. Trump in as the 47th President of the United States. I\u2019m as excited as a kid on Christmas morning.<\/p>\n

Typically, I wouldn\u2019t support signing a flurry of executive orders on an ordinary day. However, with Donald Trump\u2019s incoming administration, I believe it\u2019s necessary to reverse the damage caused by Joe Biden\u2019s policies as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n

This blog post will briefly touch on some of the day-one Executive Orders Trump plans to sign.<\/p>\n

Donald Trump\u2019s first term started with a single executive order to gut Obamacare. It sent the left into a meltdown. Tomorrow, he will sign 100 executive orders. He\u2019s making it clear he\u2019s here to reverse the wreckage left by Biden, not to play nice.<\/p>\n

But as Trump prepares to return to the White House for round two, he\u2019s promising to tear up the traditional presidential playbook entirely. With more than 100 executive orders reportedly prepared, his agenda represents a new attempt to reshape American governance through sheer executive will. It\u2019s a blueprint that, if enacted, would touch everything from international trade to immigration, from cryptocurrency to classroom curriculums<\/em>. \u2013 The Guardian<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The man did joke that he\u2019d rule like a dictator\u2014but only on day one. Relax, people, it\u2019s a joke, and you know the other side would do the exact same thing if given the chance. That said, maybe it\u2019s time for the legislative branch to step up and set some limits on executive orders. This administration could even lead the way, ensuring safeguards are in place when the Democrats inevitably regain power.<\/p>\n

The Issues<\/h3>\n

One key issue I\u2019ll be monitoring closely is mass deportations. Tom Homan talks a big game about making them happen, but I\u2019ll believe it when I see it. Something about his constant media appearances and bold claims, without offering much detail on the \u201chow,\u201d leaves me skeptical.<\/p>\n

Trump has vowed to launch \u201cthe largest deportation program in American history\u201d immediately upon taking office. The scope is staggering: with an estimated 11 million undocumented migrants and aslyum seekers in the US, including roughly 500,000 with criminal records, this would dwarf the Obama administration\u2019s record of 430,000 annual deportations in 2013.<\/em><\/p>\n

In the near term, Trump is expected to dismantle legal protections for asylum-seeking migrants and revoke humanitarian deportation safeguards for millions, including those from Haiti and Sudan, as they expire.<\/em><\/p>\n

Additionally, he plans to reverse a policy that prioritized the deportation of serious criminals, rather than long-term undocumented immigrants with clean records.<\/em><\/p>\n

Border emergency declaration<\/em>
Beyond deportations, Trump plans to declare a national emergency at the border. He explained at a New Hampshire campaign event in October that he could look to do that by \u201cusing title 42\u201d, which would essentially trigger public health emergency powers similar to ones used during Covid to boot or ban migrants from entering or staying in the country.<\/em><\/p>\n

This approach faces a significant hurdle: only the CDC, not the president, can declare such emergencies<\/em>.- The Guardian<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

I\u2019m not sure how all of this will play out\u2014probably messy, and the media will undoubtedly have a field day with it\u2014but frankly, I don\u2019t care. If they crossed the border illegally, they should be sent back.<\/p>\n
