We only bottle whiskies with the clear mission of exciting and entertaining our whisky drinking family\u201d.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"828\" height=\"544\" src=\"https:\/\/whiskyboys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Single-Cask-Company.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-219341\" style=\"width:590px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/whiskyboys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Single-Cask-Company.png 828w, https:\/\/whiskyboys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Single-Cask-Company-300x197.png 300w, https:\/\/whiskyboys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Single-Cask-Company-768x505.png 768w, https:\/\/whiskyboys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Single-Cask-Company-250x164.png 250w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 828px) 100vw, 828px\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>The Company has decided to categorise their Single Malts in a new and colourful way.:-<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cheerful<\/strong><br \/><strong>Playful<\/strong><br \/><strong>Bold<\/strong><br \/><strong>Curious<\/strong><br \/><strong>Easy-going<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A couple of weeks ago here at Whisky Boys HQ I received the following samples:-<\/p>\n<p><strong>Glasgow Peated,<\/strong> 6 year old, 61.5% Alc\/vol<\/p>\n<p><strong>Royal Brackla<\/strong>, 9 year old 57.6% Alc\/vol<\/p>\n<p><strong>Royal Brackla,<\/strong> 18 year old, 55.8% Alc\/vol<\/p>\n<p><strong>Croftengea,<\/strong> 7 year old, 60.6% Alc\/vol (distilled at Loch Lomond Distillery)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Williamson,<\/strong> 13 year old, 54.4% Alc\/vol (distilled at Laphroaig Distillery)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tennessee Rye,<\/strong>\u00a0 8 year old, 62.7% Alc\/vol<\/p>\n<p><strong>Craigellachie,<\/strong> 15 year old, 54.2% Alc\/vol<\/p>\n<p>For this tasting I decided to pick two samples, my choices were the Williamson and the Croftengea.<\/p>\n<p>Up first is the <strong>Williamson Whisky Mood \u2018Bold\u2019 Priced at \u00a395.00<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"784\" height=\"1002\" src=\"https:\/\/whiskyboys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Williamson-Whisky.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-219337\" style=\"width:234px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/whiskyboys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Williamson-Whisky.png 784w, https:\/\/whiskyboys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Williamson-Whisky-235x300.png 235w, https:\/\/whiskyboys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Williamson-Whisky-768x982.png 768w, https:\/\/whiskyboys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Williamson-Whisky-250x320.png 250w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 784px) 100vw, 784px\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>The colour of rich amber. On the nose there was a hint of smoke without any fire, salty, off shore a puffer is puffing, The palate was unsually sweet for a Laphroaig distillation,\u00a0 heathery flowers,\u00a0 newly opened first aid box, fruity,\u00a0 sherry soaked raisins, dark chocolate, with just a teardrop of water it really opens up, a delight of a dram. \u00a0 The finish was long with the sweetness lingering longest, more fruit, a little drying,\u00a0 a truly delightful dram.<\/p>\n<p>Up next is the <strong>Croftengea Whisky Mood \u2018Curious\u2019 Priced at \u00a374.00<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"784\" height=\"1012\" src=\"https:\/\/whiskyboys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Croftengea-Whisky-Mood-\u2018Curious.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-219338\" style=\"width:252px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/whiskyboys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Croftengea-Whisky-Mood-\u2018Curious.png 784w, https:\/\/whiskyboys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Croftengea-Whisky-Mood-\u2018Curious-232x300.png 232w, https:\/\/whiskyboys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Croftengea-Whisky-Mood-\u2018Curious-768x991.png 768w, https:\/\/whiskyboys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Croftengea-Whisky-Mood-\u2018Curious-250x323.png 250w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 784px) 100vw, 784px\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>The colour is that of Oaked Chardonnay, On the nose has the farmers fields just after his harvest, sweetness,\u00a0 rock pools and a busy harbour. On the palate comes some gentle sweet smoke, with a wasp wing drop of water brings in mixed herbs and the smoke is not going away. The finish is quite long, still getting the smoke and the farmers fields.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Yet another grand dram, I love the flavours and the complexity.
