Those oddsmakers were 1% better.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">However, Savvy Index was a whopping 42 games better in setting over\/under point spreads and 25 games better in setting over\/under total game points. <\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">This year, I see Savvy sweeping that trifecta in convincing fashion.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019m less concerned about the betting houses than I am this vexing WordPress (WP)  format for presenting Savvy Index. You see, the wonderful people at WP have discontinued their \u201cclassic editor\u201d which was an easy and free method of producing the pertinent parts of the Savvy spreadsheets.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Without that feature, users like me are forced to pay hundreds of dollars for an upgrade and a special plug-in.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Since Savvy is free and for fun and not a business, I\u2019ve had to find a work-around. It isn\u2019t easy and it isn\u2019t the best, but at least it works.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019ve tried to keep my chin up through all of this but it\u2019s like the day I visited my distressed friend in the hospital and I couldn\u2019t remember her blood type.  She kept screaming, \u201cBe positive!  Be positive!\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019ve tried. Really I have. But, it\u2019s hard without her. <\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">And that\u2019s saying something because I really do have the heart of a lion.  Of course, I also now have a restraining order from the zoo.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Ohio State once again leads Savvy Index pre-preseason charts with Notre Dame second and Oregon third.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Indiana won the national championship last season with a perfect record, the Heisman winner, and two-possession wins over some of FBS\u2019 top programs. Yet, Savvy Index and others don\u2019t show the Hoosiers in the top five.  I personally think Curt Cignetti is reason enough to put IU in the top three, but hey, my job is only to explain Savvy\u2019s algorhythmic conclusions as best I can. <\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">In Indiana\u2019s case, Savvy seems to reckon that the Hoosiers are not yet a \u201cprogram\u201d and one super season is not enough to say that they are.
