<\/a>Today\u2019s sampling is Bellwoods\u2019<\/span><\/a> <\/b>Ultra Premium Lager<\/i>. I\u2019ve sampled this beer a few times but never reviewed it – I thought it was just alright, but I also generally drank it as a hotel beer in a plastic cup or in the can itself.<\/p>\nSo, as someone who was a kid who grew up on a grain and cattle farm, this should intrigue me. 4.0% ABV<\/p>\n
Appearance: <\/b>Crisp, light golden golden body with a bit of carbonation in the body and a moderately thick snow white head on top, also to mention there\u2019s a bit of micro-bubbles on the glass as the beer goes down.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Aroma: <\/b>This is a sweet-forward lager with notes reminiscent of honey right from the beginning, a bit of straw, a tad bit of graininess straight from the graineries, a tad bit of a grassy-hop presence at the end. This is a very smooth and crisp lager so far.<\/p>\n
Taste: <\/b>This is a crisp and somewhat grainy lager – there\u2019s a definite barley bite at the beginning that reminds me of being on the farm, but it\u2019s fairly smooth. There\u2019s a honey-like sweetness to it, a bit of a grassy hop presence to it, a hint of lemon, and a hint of cracker at the end.\u00a0<\/p>\n
