While their growth has slowed, they\u2019ve successfully <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cookoutnews.com\/oonis-revenue-shrinks-by-50-million-debt-in-a-good-position\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"11836\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reduced their debt<\/a> and stabilized their company.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of that, they\u2019ve changed their team at multiple levels. They had to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cookoutnews.com\/outdoor-cooking-companies-feel-the-heat-from-tariffs-reduce-staff\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"11629\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">right-size their overall workforce<\/a> but have also evolved their executive team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Their co-founders, Kristian Tapaninaho and Darina Garland, who held co-CEO titles <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cookoutnews.com\/ooni-appoints-its-first-ceo-founders-move-focus-to-product-community\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"11624\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">moved to board roles<\/a>, and they hired a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cookoutnews.com\/ooni-appoints-a-new-coo-with-strong-experience-in-consumer-goods\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"11445\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">new COO<\/a>. They also have appointed two new board members, according to recent government filings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They appointed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/scott-maguire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Scott Maguire<\/a>, the current President and COO of sportswear company On. He\u2019s started with On in April of 2025 as their Chief Innovation Officer. On is a new brand to the sportwear category and has gone through tremendous growth to becoming a household name, and successfully having an IPO in 2021.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He also spent almost 19 years at another innovative company, Dyson. He started in engineering and worked his way through the ranks to the role of Chief Operating Officer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The other board appointment was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/ruthchandler\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ruth Chandler<\/a>, a Board and Exec Advisor at travel company Skyscanner. She had leadership roles with Skyscanner dating back to 2013, saw them through their sale to Trip.com, and was their Chief People Officer prior to her current advisory role.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new board composition will continue to guide Ooni through this next chapter of their business. They have continued to expand into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cookoutnews.com\/ooni-expands-their-mixer-line-with-the-smaller-cheaper-halo-core-spiral-mixer\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"12290\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">adjacent categories<\/a> and are well positioned for stable growth in the future, once the economy starts recovering.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ooni had rocket-like growth through the Pandemic and recently has shifted to managing the changing outdoor cooking landscape.
