UEFA<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lawinsport.com\/#_ftn2\" id=\"_ftnref2\"><sup>[2]<\/sup><\/a> (the \u201c<strong>Salute Award<\/strong>\u201d), were notified within weeks of each other and merit a joint analysis.<\/p>\n<p>These awards provide guidance on three practical questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>how football\u2019s anti-discrimination regime operates when liability arises regardless of fault,<\/li>\n<li>whether CAS panels are willing to interfere with disciplinary decisions; and<\/li>\n<li>what clubs and federations can do to mitigate sanctions once liability has been established.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These questions are particularly relevant as the FIFA World Cup 26<sup>TM<\/sup> has just concluded, and national associations may face disciplinary proceedings arising from supporter misconduct during the event.
