In this edition of our Venue Spotlight series, we’re taking you inside one of the most spirited spots in Ohio: Urban Meyer’s Pint House. Known for its energetic atmosphere, elevated pub fare, and deep ties to Ohio State football, Urban Meyer’s Pint House has become a go-to destination for fans and locals alike. We sat down with their team to get the inside scoop on what makes this venue stand out, how they plan unforgettable event experiences, and what it takes to run events in a space where Buckeye pride is always on full display.

Venue Name: Urban Meyer’s Pint House

Locations: Dublin, OH

Interviewee: Amanda Kantor

Title: Marketing Manager

1. Tell me a little about Urban Meyer’s Pint House: what’s unique about it?

Urban Meyer’s Pint House is more than just a restaurant – it’s a destination. Opened in 2019, we’ve built our identity around a dynamic mix of elevated sports bar energy and refined hospitality. Whether it’s a casual happy hour, a game day crowd, or a private event, we’ve designed our space to be versatile, inviting, and memorable. With Urban Meyer’s name behind it, we’ve created a space that blends the spirit of Buckeye tradition with modern, high-end finishes and exceptional service.

2. What is a fun fact that people should know about Urban Meyer’s Pint House?

One of the most unique features of Urban Meyer’s Pint House is our dedicated private event space: the 7-0 Room. Named in honor of Coach Urban Meyer’s legendary 7-0 record against That Team Up North, this space is filled with authentic Ohio State and Urban Meyer memorabilia. It’s a one-of-a-kind backdrop that’s perfect for Buckeye fans, but it’s also polished and versatile enough to host everything from upscale rehearsal dinners to laid-back networking events. There’s truly nothing else like it in the area.

3. What are some changes you’ve seen in the industry lately? What are you looking forward to about the future?

Lately, we have seen a real shift toward experiential events where guests are looking for more than just great food and drinks; they want a full experience with energy, entertainment, and atmosphere. More and more, people are planning events around a big game – whether it’s a Buckeye Saturday, NFL Sunday, or March Madness matchup. We’ve leaned into that with custom watch party setups, game-day-inspired menus, and interactive elements that make every event feel like a celebration. Looking ahead, we’re excited to keep building on that momentum with new ways to fuse hospitality, sports, and fan energy into every event we host.

4. How long has Urban Meyer’s Pint House been putting on events?

Since opening in 2019, events have been a core part of our identity. We’ve always been event-driven, from high-energy public watch parties that bring new guests through the door to full venue buyouts for major corporate clients. We’ve found that those public events often spark something. People come in for a game and end up booking their next company happy hour, holiday party, or even rehearsal dinner. It’s become a natural part of how we grow our community and show off what the space can do.

5. How long have you managed events at your venue?

I’ve had a hand in our events for nearly a year and a half, since our team took over management of the space. From opening in 2019, our crew has always rallied together to plan, set up, and execute every event with care and attention to detail. It truly takes the entire team, from our talented chefs to the bartenders, servers, and support staff, all working in sync to deliver an unforgettable guest experience.

6. Do you have a favorite event that you’ve hosted?

It’s hard to pick just one, but we’re especially proud of events that bring out the energy and heart of our space. Hosting the yearly Buckeye Cruise for Cancer fundraiser stands out. Not only do former Ohio State players jump behind the bar as celebrity bartenders, but it’s all in support of an incredibly inspiring cause.

We also love the more personal moments like when we hosted a retirement party for a longtime local high school football coach. He had such an impact on young athletes in the community, and seeing generations of former players return to honor him was truly special. Those are the kinds of events that remind us why we do what we do.

7. What else would you like Event Planners to know?

We offer three unique event spaces and can dedicate one of our two large bars just for your group. Our in-house catering covers everything from casual bites to full meals with creamy pastas and carved meats. We love creating custom cocktails and tailoring every detail to bring your vision to life. With a flexible space and a passionate team, we make events memorable from start to finish.

Urban Meyer’s Pint House is more than just a restaurant or sports bar: it’s a full-blown experience, especially when Ohio State takes the field. With a loyal fan base, dynamic event offerings, and a team that knows how to deliver high-energy celebrations, it’s no wonder this venue is a local favorite. We’re grateful to the team for giving us a peek behind the scenes, and if you’re looking to host an event that blends great food, electric energy, and Buckeye spirit, Urban Meyer’s Pint House is the place to be.
