Liverpool have already added full-back <b>Jeremy Jacquet<\/b> this summer, but a new centre-back remains high on the wishlist.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><b>Newcastle United<\/b> are also chasing Tomori and have seen an opening <b>\u00a312 million<\/b> bid rejected by Milan, who reportedly want closer to <b>\u00a317 million<\/b> before sanctioning a sale.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pbs.twimg.com\/media\/HOQs1BDXwAAZuSd.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><b>Why Tomori Fits \u2014 And Where He Falls Short<\/b><b\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">At 27, Tomori brings genuine pace, physicality and composure in one-on-one duels, qualities that would slot neatly into a Premier League backline. But his r\u00e9sum\u00e9 is light on the biggest occasions \u2014 title fights and Champions League knockout football have rarely featured on his CV, whether at Chelsea or Milan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Questions also remain over his aerial ability and comfort on the ball, two attributes Liverpool will want from any long-term successor to Van Dijk. With <b>Mohamed Salah<\/b>\u2018s exit already eating into the summer budget, a \u00a317 million deal for Tomori would represent shrewd business rather than a marquee statement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><b>Verdict<\/b><b\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Tomori isn\u2019t the dream centre-back many Liverpool fans were hoping for, but he ticks enough boxes to justify his price tag.
