The fraud, which amounts to <strong>Rs 105 crore<\/strong>, has been registered following a complaint filed by <strong>Punjab National Bank, Chennai<\/strong>. The raids were carried out simultaneously at multiple sites in <strong>Hyderabad, Kakinada, and Vizianagaram<\/strong> as part of the ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n<p>The case was registered by the <strong>CBI\u2019s Bank Securities and Fraud Branch (BSFB), Bengaluru<\/strong>, against the sugar manufacturing firm, its directors, and certain public servants. The accused individuals have been booked under serious charges including <strong>criminal conspiracy, cheating, criminal breach of trust, misappropriation of property, and forgery<\/strong>. The investigation aims to uncover the full extent of the fraudulent activities and bring all those involved to justice.<\/p>\n<p>According to the complaint filed by <strong>Punjab National Bank<\/strong>, <strong>NCS Sugars Limited<\/strong> allegedly submitted forged documents to the bank to secure credit facilities. The company reportedly obtained the loan under false pretenses and subsequently misappropriated the funds instead of utilizing them for legitimate business purposes. The bank\u2019s complaint highlights that the funds were diverted from their intended use, causing significant financial damage to the lending institution.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation revealed that <strong>NCS Sugars<\/strong> defaulted on repaying the loan, leading to a total loss of <strong>Rs 105.44 crore<\/strong> to <strong>Punjab National Bank<\/strong>.
