If you have spent the last few years meticulously logging your favorite TV shows, checking off episodes, and building the ultimate watchlist on TV Time, you might want to sit down. The popular tracking app has announced it is officially shutting down on July 15th, leaving millions of TV and movie fans facing the heartbreaking prospect of losing their entire viewing history.

For hardcore binge-watchers, losing that data is not just an inconvenience but also like losing a wholesome digital diary of your entertainment life.

Thankfully, a lifeline is already available. The team at JustWatch reached out directly to I Get Talk to share that they have officially launched a free, one-step migration tool designed specifically for displaced TV Time users. Instead of starting your entertainment tracking journey from scratch, you can now easily import your watchlists and viewing history directly into JustWatch.

How to Save Your TV Time Data On JustWatch Before July 15th

If you want to migrate your profile and keep your stats alive, JustWatch has made the process pretty straightforward. Here is what you need to do:

  1. Get your data from TV Time: Before you can move anything, you need to request your official data export from TV Time. You can do this immediately by visiting their self-service privacy portal at gdpr.tvtime.com/gdpr/self-service.

  2. Import it to JustWatch: Once you have your data file, head over to JustWatch’s newly launched migration tool at justwatch.com/us/tvtime-importer to upload it.

Alternatively, if you already have a free JustWatch account, you can send your exported TV Time file directly through the app’s “Send Feedback” feature, or email it to [email protected] (just make sure to include your JustWatch Pseudonym ID in the email so they know which account to apply the data to).

TV Time has long been a community staple for fans who love keeping track of what they watch and sharing reactions with a massive, loyal community. While the app’s closure marks the end of an era, JustWatch’s quick thinking ensures that years of curated lists and memories don’t have to vanish into digital oblivion either. Make sure to grab your data and make the switch before the July 15th deadline!
