Here\u2019s the roundup:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Administration:<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">President Trump issued a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/presidential-actions\/2026\/07\/further-strengthening-actions-taken-to-adjust-imports-of-aluminum-into-the-united-states\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proclamation<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> establishing an incentive for companies that are expanding primary aluminum production in the US, allowing them to import primary aluminum at a reduced tariff rate.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On July 20, 2026, the White House <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/diaztradelaw.com\/section-338-canada-tariffs-importers\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">announced<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that the United States will impose an additional 50% tariff on many Canadian-origin products beginning 30 days after the order\u2019s issuance.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">President Trump <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RapidResponse47\/status\/2080701696108273992?s=20\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">announced<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> via Truth Social that the Administration will initiate a 301 investigation into the European Union for excessive fines against American tech companies.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">President Trump <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/116960425128744506\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">announced<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> via Truth Social that effective August 1st, 2026, all Generic Drugs being brought into the United States will continue to have a 0% tariff for a two-year period of time, after which the tariff will be raised to 100% for one year, and 200% thereafter.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>United States Trade Representative (USTR)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On July 23, 2026, the USTR <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/diaztradelaw.com\/section-301-forced-labor-tariffs\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">announced<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a Section 301 action imposing new tariffs on 60 trading partners.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On July 15, 2025, the USTR <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ustr.gov\/about\/policy-offices\/press-office\/press-releases\/2026\/july\/ustr-section-301-action-brazils-unreasonable-acts-policies-and-practices\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">announced<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a Section 301 action imposing a 25% tariff against some Brazilian exports.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The U.S. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/diaztradelaw.com\/usmca-renewal-origin-compliance-risk\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">declined to renew<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the USMCA. The agreement remains in force and now enters a cycle of yearly reviews until 2036.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Customs and Border Protection (CBP)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CBP <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbp.gov\/newsroom\/national-media-release\/cbp-uncovers-record-1-billion-duty-evasion-under-eapa\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">announced<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that it has uncovered more than $1 billion in additional duties owed under the Enforce and Protect Act.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CBP issued an <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/diaztradelaw.com\/postal-de-minimis-rule\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">interim final rule<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (IFR) that codifies the suspension of de minimis for international mail shipments and establishes a new postal informal entry process for certain goods entering by mail. The rule took effect July 24, 2026.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CBP issued a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/diaztradelaw.com\/solar-eapa-country-origin-evasion\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Notice of Determination<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as to Evasion in an EAPA case, finding that a major solar-module importer evaded antidumping AD\/CVD orders on crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Courts<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The CIT <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/diaztradelaw.com\/ieepa-cape-phase-three-refunds\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">entered an order<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> directing CBP to reliquidate certain finally liquidated entries in about 3,700 cases assigned to the court in the IEEPA case.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Burlap and Barrel and Collective Horology filed a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/storage.courtlistener.com\/recap\/gov.uscourts.cit.21433\/gov.uscourts.cit.21433.2.0.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">lawsuit<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> against the Section 301 tariffs announced July 23.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On July 13, 2026, CBP <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/libertyjusticecenter.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/CBP-July-13-Declaration25.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">filed<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> its latest status declaration with the CIT in the IEEPA refund case. CBP reported that $121.75 billion in both potential and certified refunds have been accepted for processing in CAPE.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Department of Justice<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The DOJ and DHS jointly <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/diaztradelaw.com\/doj-dhs-trade-fraud-guide\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">published<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a new Resource Guide to Trade Fraud Enforcement, highlighting the government\u2019s coordinated approach to combating customs fraud and strengthening import compliance.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Chinese tech company Alibaba <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-ri\/media\/1450606\/dl?inline\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">agreed to pay<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> $600 million to resolve allegations that it sold and imported illegal pharmaceuticals, regulated chemicals, controlled substances, and pill-making equipment into the U.S.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Dallas seafood business was <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/opa\/pr\/dallas-seafood-business-fined-250000-falsifying-country-origin-salmon\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">fined<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> $250,000 for falsifying the country of origin for salmon.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>U.S. Department of Commerce<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A new antidumping and countervailing duty action <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/diaztradelaw.com\/glyphosate-china-adcvd\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">has been filed<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> against Glyphosate from China. The allegation is that imports from China are being dumped and unfairly subsidized.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">OFAC <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/home.treasury.gov\/news\/press-releases\/sb0573\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sanctioned<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> over 50 Mexican individuals and entities linked to the terrorist group Cartel de Jalisco Nueva Generacion (CJNG).\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">OFAC <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/home.treasury.gov\/news\/press-releases\/sb0572\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">designated<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a senior Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood (EMB) official, along with three individuals and three entities that have provided material support to Hamas.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">OFAC launched a new <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ofac.treasury.gov\/specially-designated-nationals-list-sdn-list\/filing-a-petition-for-removal-from-an-ofac-list\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">online Reconsideration Portal<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for the submission of requests to be removed from an OFAC sanctions list.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">OFAC <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/home.treasury.gov\/news\/press-releases\/sb0545\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">announced<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> sanctions against multiple entities engaged in fuel smuggling schemes linked to Mexican Cartel de Jalisco Nueva Generacion.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The\u202fFDA issued a<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.federalregister.gov\/public-inspection\/2026-13047\/establishment-registration-and-product-listing-for-tobacco-products\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">proposed rule<\/span><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that would require all foreign tobacco product manufacturers to complete registration and product listing through the FDA.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Starting July 8, 2026, importers of most regulated consumer products <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/diaztradelaw.com\/mandatory-cpsc-efiling-importer-compliance\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">must electronically file<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (eFile) Certificate of Compliance data into CBP\u2019s ACE system at the time of entry, no longer on request.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Congress<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A group of 52 U.S. House Representatives wrote a<a href=\"https:\/\/comer.house.gov\/_cache\/files\/6\/b\/6b9a81c7-2912-42b0-a38e-645188b32ac6\/7129BC1A939C41E9B87B5573CC64F7492C4B02674CCD53BCAA4A695EA52A985E.6.30.26-jones-act-waiver-expiration-letter---final.pdf\"> letter<\/a> to President Trump asking the administration to allow the Jones Act waiver to expire as scheduled on August 16.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Senator Elizabeth Warren <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.warren.senate.gov\/newsroom\/press-releases\/warren-grills-trump-administration-for-answers-on-delayed-tariff-refunds\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">wrote a letter<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to CBP asking a series of questions about IEEPA refunds, including how many refunds have been issued, how much value they covered, and what the average wait time between application and refund is.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Want more customs and international trade news?
